Geez Louise! It is so freakin’ hot here! 98 degrees at noon! If I lived in Arizona that wouldn’t surprise me–or bother me–nearly so much. But, sheesh, I live in Arkansas, for cryin’ out loud. It’s not just hot, it’s HUMID.
Have I mentioned how much I hate humidity?
In other news, I continue to save the world–or at least Southern California–with Zorro. Though I’m getting very close to the end, I think. Then I’m not sure which tapes to convert next. Should I save the world with Emma Peel and John Steed in The Avengers or the Nick Lea episodes of The X-Files. Or I could save the world with Kevin Sorbo in Hercules, or I could try to take over an Old West town with Eric McCormack in Lonesome Dove: the Outlaw Years, or I could start working on the umpteen million shows I taped for research purposes. So much to choose from!
The writing is coming along slowly but surely.
I’m currently reading Julie Kenner’s The Givenchy Code. This is a fantastic book! If it weren’t for the fact that it was closing in on 3:30 this morning and I was to the point I couldn’t keep my eyes open no matter how badly I wanted to, I’d have kept reading until I finished it. Great heroine, sexy hero, great action/adventure! I highly recommend it!

Remember the show Welcome Back, Kotter and Arnold Horshack? He always bounced in his desk and yelled, “Oh, oh, oh!!!” when he knew the answer to a question?
That’s how I am right now. Just got an email from Turner Classic Movies with their schedule for July and on the 3rd, they’re showing the 1910 silent version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I’ve wanted to see this for ages! What’s really funny is it’s a whopping 13 minutes long.
Now if they’d only show Douglas Fairbanks Sr’s version of Zorro….
