Last night I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl for the first time. I’d wanted to see it for a long time, but never managed to catch it on Pay-Per-View or on DVD, so I recorded it a couple of weeks ago when it was on ABC. I thoroughly loved it! But then I love swashbuckling movies. 
But what I can’t for the life of me figure out is how Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow could be so very, very scuzzy and yet so incredibly sexy at the same time. Yo ho yo ho! A pirate’s life for me!

Yeah, I get this. I am always afraid that the pirates could have b.o. it would ruin it for me…

LOL, AWTM! Same here, though I suppose back in that time period it was as rampant in the upper classes as the lower.

Yes Johnny Depp is in it – Knightly and Bloom too. They actually have filmed 2 more movies – they filmed the last two simultaneously.:banana:

Loved that movie. I try not to think about the realities of the time period, but I suppose people were desensitized to the smell. But … ewww. Maybe clean people would smell weird
?

I love swashbuckler movies too and I adored Johnny Depp. Heck, I’d adore Johnny Depp in a toothpaste commercial.
