Today’s horoscopes:

Phone calls and e-mails between you and your friends may get misplaced, or otherwise go astray, VICKI. A little patience is called for when trying to reach anyone at this time, especially if modern technology is involved. If a matter is urgent, it might be best to do the old-fashioned thing and actually go see the person in question. That’s the only way to ensure reaching anyone right now.

I just have one question… how does one misplace a phone call??? :rofl:

~~~~~~
So who watched Lost last night? What did you think? I thought it was interesting but they really needed more than one episode to tell us what happened to the Tail Section Group, IMO.
I wish I’d recorded it so I could double check this, but one thing I think I saw when they first found the bunker was some kind of tower—like a cell phone tower or a television broadcast tower—on the mountain behind them. I don’t think I should have seen that. :rofl:
~~~~~~

Just got a book order. :wave: New books! Fun! I got:

  • A Mourning Wedding by Carola Dunn
  • We’ll Always Have Parrots by Donna Andrews
  • You’ve Got Murder by Donna Andrews
  • Estate of Mind by Tamar Myers
  • Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett
  • Third Sight by Suzanne McMinn
  • However, I’ll probably finish the book I’m re-reading right now before I start on the new ones. I started reading Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series again the other night. I love this series. Much fun! I finished The Eyre Affair last night, and started on Lost in a Good Book. Then next up—er, no pun intended—in the series is The Well of Lost Plots and we finish out with Something Rotten. Then he wrote an independent though related book in the new Nursery Crime series called The Big Over Easy. I’m hoping he’ll write more Thursday Next books, though, in addition to the Nursery Crime series.

    ~~~~~~~~
    And just so you don’t think I’ve abandoned my writing :) I finished my read-through and now I’m working on fixing all the problems I found. Not as much fun as I’d like, but that’s life in the writing world.
    3. Wow, I so didn’t see the tower. There are so many things I bet I’m missing. I need to get the first season DVD set and watch them more carefully, then do the same when the second season comes out.
    4. My latest box of books arrived today and I have now put a moratorium on buying for … at least 2 weeks. I’m running out of TBR piles, I’m now on tower #5. I think I’ll be reading for a while!
      Don’t watch Lost anymore - when I was taping it and not getting around to watching it I realized that I wasn’t really missing the show. My sister-in-law still tapes it and saves episodes that she thinks I’ll like and that’s about it.
    5. Trish, if I wasn’t seeing things it may well have been a blooper. :) Like jet contrails in westerns. :rofl:
      Eve!!! Scandalous! I can’t imagine not missing Lost. :) I had a huge TBR pile several months ago, but when I realized I had no desire to read most of them, I decided it was time for them to go to the library. They were thrilled to get them. :)
    6. Well, I’ve never watched Lost. I take that back, I watched one episode, was completely LOST, and haven’t attempted to watch since. I hear there’s a hot guy on the show, though. Or did he die? They always kill off the hot ones…
    9. Thanks for the information. What amazed me was the part about the King Ranch being larger than Rhode Island! Wow.
    10. I didn’t remember seeing the tower. I’m actually glad they didn’t spend more time on the tailies. But it was odd hearing Boone’s voice over the radio!
    11. If you like Terry Pratchett, I highly recommend “Good Omens”. He wrote it with Neil Gaiman and it’s absolutely hysterical!
    16. I didn’t notice the tower either. And I think I erased the episode already so I can’t go back and check. I love LOST. Never miss an episode. I don’t always watch it the night it’s on but I still never miss an episode.
    19. I think that was one of the best episodes yet! :wave:
      The characterization is just AMAZING! And I find myself watching stuff more and more and thinking about how they put it together. Anyway it was a great episode but I didn’t see the tower–i did notice the “quarantine” sign on the inside of the door a couple episodes ago.
    21. Getting a little worried here Tori. Hopefully it’s the old computer problems and nothing worse that is keeping you from us.
      Miss you!
    23. Hey, gang! I’m still alive & kicking but my laptop’s monitor went kahblooey! So I’m having to use my dad’s computer which is inconvenient to say the very least. Anyway, from all the estimates I got it was going to cost more than half the cost of a new laptop to fix the problem, so I ordered a new one. :mrgreen: Like I really had to think long and hard about doing that… Got a new iBook which is way more powerful than my old one so it should be fun to play with… er, work with. Yeah, that’s what I meant. Work with…
      Anyway, I haven’t updated here because I can’t remember my password. :rofl: All that info’s on my old system so until I get the new baby I’m kind of blogless. Should be here by Wednesday, according to Amazon. But I’m getting way impatient. :crazedjumping:
