Sorry I’ve been kind of missing in action around here. Now that all our stuff is at our new house, I’m trying to get organized. What a nightmare! I can’t find anything I want, but plenty of things I don’t need at the moment. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by this.
I missed a good deal of the women’s figure skating so I’m afraid you guys are on your own for skating reports.
But I will say the Japanese woman, Shizuka Arakawa, who won the gold medal was just lovely! Beautiful perfomance. Very elegant.
My horoscope for today:
Take a break from the seriousness that has prevailed over the past couple of days. You will find that upbeat conversations are the way to navigate through today’s waters. You might notice that communication among others is much more active today and that words are especially effective. Talk and people will listen. Listen and people will talk. The conscious exchange of ideas is critical on a day like today.
Oddly enough, this is actually the case! My writing/critique group has been really chatty today.
Anyway, I need to get back to the salt mines now….
Update: Just remembered I wanted to mention the outfit Johnny Weir had on last night during the Championship Gala exhibition skating. What the heck was that supposed to be? Half man/half woman???
Or have I just been working too hard at this moving thing?

I caught who won the medals in Women’s Figure Skating on the news. But then I tuned in to check it out for myself. And yes! The lovely Japanese woman who won gold was absolutely stunning!
I was also cheering for Sasha and Irina. With all the things that they’ve encountered as far as roadblocks, I felt I needed to see the reward at the end of the trail. Nice. Very nice.
Grins*

I taped it and will be watching it tonight. Even though I know the outcome, I’d like to see the performances – falls and all.
I don’t remember his outfit???

Crystal, I was rooting for Irina, but I’m not a big Sasha fan. Something about her bugs me, but I can’t figure out why.
Eve, in last night’s exhibition Johnny Weir (and I keep typing out WeirD which some might say was appropriate
) had on this outfit that looked sort of like a tuxedo on one half of his body and the other half, even though it was pants, looked sorta… evening gownish.
At least to me, but maybe I just need my head examined.

It took me a while to get organized, too. A month after moving, I still can’t find some things, either. Pleasures, my fav perfume, for example, is nowhere to see, but I have the top from it in plain sight. But now I find things, like an old hair dryer. Of course, by now I have TWO hair dryers!

I hate moving. My dh’s friend helped us pack and he pretty much took all of my utensil drawers and dumped them in a box. I was in tears trying to unpack that stuff. I remember my dh going off to work and there were thirteen huge moving boxes that needed to be unpacked. I don’t care if I win the lotto, I’m never moving again.

Tori, I don’t envy you moving, but it’s great you have a new home!
