So. Last night’s Lost. Very interesting! Thoughts:
Sawyer reading Judy Blume’s Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret” -
Too funny!
Sun’s baby – Hmm. Miracle, as Jin thinks? Or some weird island curse? Only time will tell.
Henry Gale playing Jack and Locke against each other – Is he really one of the Others? Or did he really crash on the island in a balloon? And is he really from Minnesota? Henry Gale is the name of Dorothy’s uncle in The Wizard of Oz. Other weirdness with an Oz connection: Australia is often called Oz. And the Wizard got to Oz via a balloon. Makes you go, “hmm”, doesn’t it?
The Great Balloon Hunt – Are Sayid, Ana Lucia and Charlie walking into a trap? Personally, I think Sayid and, possibly, Ana Lucia are too savvy to let that happen. But I could be wrong.
Last night’s Bones was fascinating. It involved secret treasure vaults beneath Washington, DC which got me to wondering if they really existed. So if my wrists can stand it, I may do some googling today on the subject. It’s not goofing off, you know. It’s RESEARCH. Yes, boys and girls, writers can justify anything. LOL!
Okay, it’s kind of scary
when two out of three horoscopes say something similar…. The two that agree:
“There are extremely slow moving subtle energies that are coming into play today, which may not be felt so easily. (Why am I not surprised they’re slow moving?
) What they are providing, however, is a key to manifesting your wildest dreams. (Oooh, cool!
Well, except for those really scary dreams…) Fantasy can become your reality, but it may only come one small, subtle step at a time. (Don’t tease me like that!) Don’t give up. Focus on the unconventional way of getting things done. (Unconventional how?
Bribery? Sex? Blackmail?) You will eventually achieve everything your heart desires – as long as you truly believe that you can. (Ah, there’s the rub! Believing I can do it.)”
And:
“There is little chance to prepare for the onslaught of adventure that is coming your way in an exciting manner. (But slowly, of course.
) Instead of paying attention to minute details, take a look at the big picture and surround yourself with people who keep that picture looking great. (Okay, guys, now you know YOUR mission, should you choose to accept it.
)”
And I guess on that note, I should actually get back to work on writing….
What is UP with this wacky weather??? Doesn’t Mother Nature know it’s supposed to be Spring??? Why has it turned so much colder and yuckier??? I. Don’t. Like. It.
Not one bit.
Yesterday, Trish posted about famous people she’s met and I thought that would be a fun topic for today. Especially since I found my autograph book the other day.
So, without further ado, here’s a list of famous people I’ve met and actually talked with:
Actors
Richard Dean Anderson
Robin Mattson
Lyle Waggoner
Ben Murphy
Grant Goodeve
Tony Danza
Connie Stevens
Brian Patrick Clark
Michael Landon
Sam Jones
Bands
Alabama (the whole band)
Sawyer Brown (though I really just flirted with them because they played up to me while on stage—I was the only person there with a 35mm SLR camera, so I looked more professional
)
Seems like there ought to be more, but that’s all I can think of at the moment.
On the horoscope front:
“Today is one of those days in which, if you want love, you need to go out and get it. Don’t waste your time sitting around at home and sulking. Be adventuresome and take the first step. (:confused68: Is it just me, or does it sound like they’re advocating a gigolo?) You are the only one who has the ability of pulling yourself out of the rut, so do it. There is a great deal of passion behind your romantic intentions today so be careful where you point your arrow, cupid.” (Yikes! I think, all in all, I should just stay home…)
Then there’s this gem:
“A potential partner will pursue you, perhaps boldly enough to start a conversation that leads to immediate heavy flirting. Struggles abound when you try to ignore the sudden and unexpected chemistry between you two.” (Darn! Decisions, decisions. Go out where it’s cold and find some mysterious, mythical guy? Or stay home where it’s warm and hope the FedEx guy drops by again?)
