Why is it spaghetti always tastes better when you reheat it the next day? :hungry: We had it for dinner Saturday night, and then again for lunch yesterday. It tasted way better at lunch.

But onward!

Fairly good news on Barbaro this morning. He came through surgery well, woke up calmly and seems to be doing well. So keep your fingers crossed that he continues to improve.

An interesting post yesterday from April Kihlstrom on Believing in Yourself. I’m going to try her suggestion.

Today’s horoscopes:

“Too much hard work, not to mention stress, could be taking its toll on you physically today. (Heck, I’ve been feeling this way for a week!) However, that isn’t likely to stop you from working very intently and energetically on a project that particularly fascinates you. ( Yeah, right. And pigs will fly. :flying:) This enterprise could be job-related, or it might be a personal project of your own, but whatever it is, it’s apt to surprise you with the turn it takes. (Can it be both?) It might not be anything like what you’d planned! (I’m not sure if that’s good or bad….) Go to it!”

And then there’s this one:

“Stop being such an eager puppy (Woof, woof! LOL!) and play it like a cool cat. You gain someone’s interest when you learn to hold back just a little. A sense of mystery never hurt anyone’s prospects in love or business. (I vant to be alone…)

  1. Mmmm… I think anything Italian tastes better the next day: lasagna, pizza. It’s all good!

I’m glad to hear Barbaro is “frisky”… and paying attention to the pretty fillies next door. He’s such a man! LOL…

  3. It must have been awful to see that on TV! I’m glad he’s doing well so far.

  4. Hey, M! (I finally figured out how to get my posts here to show up on on LJ!) Yeah, it was pretty horrifying to see live. Heck, it’s horrifying still. I’ve finally had to stop watching when they show it now.

  5. I watched him on the news. They said he was already flirting with the mares, and they would likely stud him out. Not a bad retirement.
