No, not the movie. The one I fell into yesterday. :) I just got busy with other stuff, none of it terribly important, but it sucked my whole day away. Anyway.

I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day (those of you in the U.S., that is). We didn’t do anything special around here. Just worked around the house and yard.

But back to the usual grind today. And that means….

HOROSCOPES!

“You are apt to get the feeling that the grass is greener on the other side today. (Seeing as I have to go to the dentist this afternoon for a temporary crown, that’s a given.) Try not to get too hung up on this concept. Either make the effort to cross the bridge and go where the landscape looks richer and more fruitful, or simply stay where you are. (Hmm. That’s actually good advice at any time. :)) The key for true happiness is to make sure that regardless of where you end up, that you are enjoying the spot where you currently are. (And yet more good advice. Go figure!)

Then:

“Avoid spreading any gossip. Control your tongue today for a more peaceful world. The information will make its way around in due time without your involvement. (Yeah, probably via that mysterious back-stabbing ‘friend’ of mine. LOL!)

And:

“Motivation is your middle name. ( Excuse me while I catch my breath from laughing so hard…) Not only does your passion give you new impetus when it comes to an old project (this could be either good or bad…), it helps open new opportunities—albeit not the ones you had expected. (This sounds vaguely familiar, didn’t I have this one a few days ago? :useyourhead:) Get ready for change. (Not again! :headspin:)

Both MaryF and Marianne have blogged recently about story ideas they’ve had over the years, so I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon. :streamer:

female Zorro (sort of :sword:) in Georgian England (again, sort of)
vampire slayer & Secret Service agent
    photojournalist & shapeshifting P.I.
P.I. & an alternate world Texas Ranger
long lost princess who has to save the kingdom (yes, I know this plot is older than dirt )
archaeologist & billionaire in search of a lost city
silent film star-turned-detective (guess which book this is!)
    Greek Gods in modern times
various stories set in a parallel world to ours (lots of medieval type settings and magic—oh, and people from our world getting sucked into it)
modern librarian who travels to the magical (literally!) Old West
travel writer and cat burglar foil attempts to kill a prince
English widow & Spanish nobleman in Old California foil Evil Villains
the return of King Arthur (sort of…)
bounty hunter & spy track terrorist to Vegas
former cat burglar & her zillionaire boyfriend battle the Evil Empire
P.I. computer geek & a shapeshifting history professor in Lousiana
antiques expert & a shapeshifting P.I. (a different one than above, but the same world)

And lots more, but all pretty much along the same themes. :)

  6. I feel very un-prolific (is that even a word?) after looking at your list.

Still… most of the ones on my list were actually completed, so I guess it’s not all bad.

Time to go wake the hubby. Have a good day!!

  8. Love the ideas!!!
You know, I’ve never sat down and put mine down on paper like that. I dog-ear a notebook with each idea. Maybe I’ll give this a whirl. :headspin:
