On the archaeology front, from various and sundry sites:

    Possible Amazon ‘Stonehenge’ Found
    Remnants of ’sophisticated culture’ uncovered
Find may point to sophisticated Amazon culture

How cool is that?

Had a doctor’s checkup today. His office is in one of those multi-level buildings with various specialists. What I’d like to know is what genius came up with the idea of having “Infectious Diseases” share a waiting room with people who have damaged immune systems??? :confused68:

Today’s horoscopes:

“Too much running around might have you feeling exhausted and a bit under the weather today. (No kidding! I was tired before we even left this morning.) You may have been exercising a little too much. ( Does leaping to conclusions count? Running on empty?) Therefore this is a good day to avoid exercise and get a little rest. (Good. I think I’ll loll around the rest of the day. ;)) You don’t want to push yourself too hard! This is not a good day to plan or start a vacation. (Wasn’t planning on planning anything. LOL!) Wait a few days before doing this, as trips planned at this time could be fraught with glitches.”

“Look to see what other people are bringing to the negotiating table; (Nobody told me I was supposed to be negotiating anything today! :headspin:) be patient and refuse to commit until you have sized up the complete picture of what you will be getting. (Right now, I’d just like some chocolate.) Make an informed decision in your own time.”

Oh, yeah. :typing: Writing. I eked out a few lines on the murder mystery last night. Decided it was time to actually interview the killer.

  1. Some idiot must have planned that *waiting room.* I hope you had a good check-up.

I love the Amazon Archaeology links. Thanks for posting those.

Speaking of immune systems, mine needs a nap.

  2. I’ve often wondered about that with waiting rooms. Hope your visit went okay!

*laughing* Someone obviously misplaced his/her thinking cap. :useyourhead:
Hope your visit went okay, and you were able to find some chocolate. *grins*

  4. I had read the article about the Amazonian Stonehenge, is that cool or what?

  5. I hate waiting rooms. :biteme: Geez, who came up with that name for that room anyway? Do you really need to call it “waiting room”? We all know what it is. Why not call it something more cheery, like festive room or relaxing room or entertainment room?

BTW, nice title of your post. For a moment there I thought that was the next Indiana Jones movie. :duh:

So how’s the writing coming along? Did you interview the bad boy? :typing:

Kinda reminds me of when they scheduled the “Turrets support group” at the same time as the “Dealing with your explosive personality disorder workshop.”

  10. Janie - I think there are lots of idiots working at doctors’ offices. ;) Did you get your nap?

Michelle - Yeah, it’s not just this particular clinic. I’ve seen that idiocy in other places, too!

Crystal - That’s assuming they even HAD a thinking cap!

Mahala - Very cool! And it ties into one of my old stories really well, too! :)

Silma - I think they call them “waiting rooms” because you wait and wait. And wait some more. No interviews yet. And who said the killer was a guy?

  11. Stacy - The person who designed this waiting room (or any of them!) deserves a good slap! :slap:

Bailey - LOL! Yes, I think you’ve hit on the correct answer.

RSM - They same people (or their relatives) probably did them both! :)

Bren - There’s a reason I try to sit as far away from other people as possible. I have a hard enough time with allergies & sinus infections. I so do not need an “infectious disease”. :confused68:
