Yes, I’m talking about jealousy. I’m jealous of all the people who are in, or going to, Atlanta this week for the RWA National convention. Even though I don’t actually write romance, a lot of my friends do and they’ll be there. It would be fun to see them in person. Some of them I’ve already met in person, but it would be fun to see them again. Ah, well.

Eureka was most excellent last night. I love this show!!! :cheer:

I wrote :typing: about one page last night. The kids have arrived at the safe house where Stefan is stashing Stacy. Until I can figure out a way for the Villains to find them there. I may have to resort to a leak of some kind. Stefan’s cousin could be stabbing them in the back, but I don’t think he is. For one thing, he should know above anyone that Stefan would kill him if he was. Plus, he seems to like Stacy. But there are plenty of other “trustworthy” people who could be on the take… or just not thinking.

Horoscopes for today:

“Rather than cling to your existing ideas about romance, cultivate some bigger, better, totally outside-the-box thinking. (What? Like hoping for a shapeshifter to come sweep me off my feet?) Turning your perspective upside-down and banishing expectations is a good place to start.”

“Finally, you’re on the mend. The minor ailments that have been dragging you down lately are beginning to disappear, and you’re about to regain all of your physical energy. (FINALLY!!! It’s about darn time!) However, if you overindulge, your energy levels are likely to plummet once again. (Gotcha! Note to self: take it easy…) If nothing else, you’ll have learned a valuable lesson about the importance of moderation, especially right now. Don’t overdo it! (*whipping off a snappy salute*)

“Your ability to draw attention from the person in whom you are most interested will be hindered by interruptions from many different sources. (What if he’s an attention-hound? Won’t this piss him off?) When you finally do make contact with the one you seek, be prepared for a dose of chemistry. (I hope they don’t mean the kind that involves sulfur and magnesium and such.)

“Tired of having a front-row seat at your friend’s personal drama? Tell them that it’s getting out of hand. (I guess the period of my listening to my friends vent is over. LOL!) True, they may not react by changing their ways, but you’ll feel tons better at getting that off your chest.”

  1. Might I recommend the just not thinking option. It provides a little extra emotional kick to the person who let the cat out of the bag.

Just came back from Atlanta. Several people at WriterCon doubled up by going to it and staying for RWA.

  2. Mandy, I think you may be right. Guilt! That could be lots of fun! :) Doing two cons in a row like that sounds expensive and exhausting!

  3. I’m jealous too! I wish I was at conference. Oh well. Maybe next year. The book sounds interesting. Good luck with the leak.

  4. The vent is over? So soon? :biteme:
    Well that was quick.

*snickering* I think they mean the GOOD chemistry.

  5. I’d love to be in Atlanta right now, too. Schmoozing and drinking … er, I mean eating … dinner with my pals :hungry:

  6. I was pretty blue earlier this week knowing how much fun my friends would be having in Atlanta, but hey, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. I’m trying to focus my emotion on my WIP instead.
