I did something last night I’ve never done before. I watched an entire Tammy movie from beginning to end.
I’ve always only ever seen bits and pieces before. I watched the first one, Tammy and the Bachelor. It was made in 1957 and starred Debbie Reynolds as Tammy and the romantic lead was played by none other than a very young Leslie Nielson! He was quite the hottie back then! American Movie Classics was having a Tammy marathon last night for some bizarre reason.
I wrote about a page and a half last night. I guess Tammy was a good influence.
Stefan & Stacy’s chaperone (aka Stefan’s cousin who is also another of Stacy’s bodyguards) seems to be taking great delight in teasing them about their burgeoning romance. Which makes Stefan glower and Stacy giggle.
Tonight is the second episode of Life on Mars on BBC America. Hope it’s as inspiring as Tammy. ;)
Ooooh! I saw the movie too.
I didn’t know the hero was Leslie Nielsen until almost the end of the movie. He sure was a hottie.

I love those old movies… I’m so glad they’re out there on cable!
Great job on the writing. I have visions of little girls singing, “Stefan & Stacy sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g…”
About those Karin Slaughter books - You really need to read them in order or there tons of stuff that won’t make sense. “Blindsighted” is the first one, but check out her website for the whole set of ‘em. They’re really well done. Hope you enjoy them!
Have a great day.

Tempest, my mom even watched the two that came on after that! She hardly ever stays up that late.
I meant to say the other day I hadn’t realized (or I’d forgotten) The Partridge Family was based on the Cowsills. Very cool!
Marianne, I love old movies, too. I recorded an old murder mystery last night on Turner Classic Movies. No clue when I’ll actually get around to watching it, but I have it when I’m ready.
I’ll definitely check out Karin Slaughter!

I have to laugh. I remember watching parts of those movies growing up. I guess my Mom liked them. I also remember parts of “Ma and Pa Kettle.”
Oh…and Andy Hardy.
Good stuff.
Way to go on the WRITING!!!:whoo:

You are inspired by a Tammy movie? I think you need to get a carbon monoxide alert for your house, that’s pretty scary.

I love Tammy and the Doctor, Peter Fonda was a hottie. And I watched the Andy Hardy movies, and Ma and Pa Kettle; of course, since I’m watching a lot of movies with mom, I’m catching a lot of old movies now. We watched a bit of The Harvey Girls with Judy Garland this morning (I mention this because Marjorie Main, who was Ma Kettle, was in this movie). Love them. I’m glad you’re getting some work done on the writing.:whoo:
