I started reading Gregory Maguire’s Wicked last night. I’d heard good things about it, but… I’ve heard good things about other books I couldn’t stand, so I wasn’t entirely sure I’d like it. :book: Happily, I’m quite into it now and enjoying it a lot.

Got caught up on Kyle XY and Three Moons Over Milford last night. Nick Lea’s character on KXY is becoming quite Krycek-like. Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy? Will he get killed off next week? (I sure hope not!) TMOM is still just a cute, quirky show. Not as cute and quirky as Eureka, but that one’s hard to top. :)

For tonight’s viewing pleasure we have Three Moons Over Milford, Angela’s Eyes, and Karen Sisco.

I only wrote about a page and a half last night. I was kind of stuck, so didn’t get very far. Need to figure out what happens next. Come to think of it, that’s pretty much what Stacy asked Stefan at the end of what I wrote. Fortunately, I remembered something I’d mentioned towards the beginning of the book and never brought up again. Now is the perfect time to delve back into that little plot point. So I’ll try to figure that bit out today.

  1. I wondered about Wicked. Glad you are enjoying it. Tonight is the finale of Deadwood. I’m bummed. I’ve leared new ways of swearing from that show. I just started watching House, so I’m looking forward to the new season. After being a big Blackadder fan, I find it hard to equate Hugh Laurie as House. Fascinates me to no end.

  2. Tried, and failed, to get into Milford… I actually found it sort of boring and typical  (sorry, but I’m entitled to my opinion, right?). Now, Eureka? :whoo: Love. It.

That’s okay, cuz there’s only so many TV viewing hours in the day…

  3. I love the term “wicked.” Really. Anything with that in the title deserves a go.
Hugh Laurie? :worthy: Just can’t get enough.

  4. Rene, I don’t have HBO and so haven’t seen Deadwood. Heard lots about it, though.

Marianne, if everybody liked the same things all the time it would be really boring, I think. :)

Crystal, maybe I should try to use the word “wicked” in the non-existent title of Stacy & Stefan. Must think on this. ;)

  6. Watching the Emmy’s. Don’t watch any of those shows.

A page and a half is still pretty good.

  7. Glad you like it. I work on the Broadway production of the show intermittently — it’s also very good, but very different.

My favorite Maguire is CONFESSIONS OF AN UGLY STEPSISTER.
