That’s the title of the song currently playing on The Beat—Sirius Satellite Channel 36 (aka the Dance Hits channel
). Anyway, it sounded rather apt for me, too.
Did you guys hear the news story about the World War One soldier who was finally buried yesterday? Private Francis Lupo was one of the 116,000 Americans killed during that war. He was killed July 21, 1918, but was only hastily buried at the time. Lupo’s remains were discovered in 2003 by a French archaeologist along with the remains of another soldier who’d died that same day. Lupo’s wallet was found with his remains, so they had a preliminary ID, but it’s taken the last three years to make a positive one. He was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery yesterday.

Loved last night’s Eureka! (Isn’t that a surprise?) Next week is the season finale for the show.
On the other hand, that’ll make my Tuesday nights a little easier since Veronica Mars will be running in that time slot.
Tonight will be fairly busy. We’ve got Bones, Jericho, Criminal Minds, Lost (a recap show so we’ll be up to speed for next week’s premiere), CSI: NY, and Kidnapped.
On the writing
front, the manuscript is now up to 243 pages!!!
Gaah.
I feel like death warmed over. Could feel worse, of course, but I feel like every ounce of energy has been sucked from my body. It was probably aliens.
Or maybe just allergies and/or a sinus infection. I like the aliens theory better, though.
Yesterday, I finally watched Kidnapped. I liked it! Wish the visual quality had been better, but our cable had crappy reception that day. *sigh* I swear we have the crappiest cable service ever.
So, last night was the premiere of Heroes, an X-Men-esque show about ordinary people discovering their extraordinary powers. I really, really liked it! If you missed it last night, there’s an encore airing tonight.
Tonight is the usual… Eureka, NCIS, Standoff, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
I wasn’t feeling too perky last night, so I didn’t get much writing done. About a page and a half handwritten. But I don’t much like any of it, so it may get scrapped. I hope tonight’s better.
The latest from CNN:
Researchers: Homes Have More TVs Than People
The average American home now has more television sets than people.
Well, I know ours does. There are three people in our house. And four televisions. Before we moved, we had FIVE TVs!
Then from MSNBC:
Messages that go ‘poof’ after sending them
A hallmark of “Mission: Impossible” was the message that would self-destruct after a spy played it. Now a startup communications company promises that same level of secrecy with a Web-based messaging system designed to leave no traces.
Our mission should we choose to accept it…
Fairly busy TV night last night. I recorded Mystery!, Three Moons Over Milford (it was their season finale—another short season show), Cold Case and Without a Trace. I watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (whenever I feel really poor and sorry for myself, this show proves how really blessed I am) and Angela’s Eyes. I also watched a show on the National Geographic Channel about Noah’s Ark. Research!
Tonight, we have another busy night with Deal or No Deal, Studio 60, CSI: Miami, Vanished, Heroes, and Lost (two hours from last season).
And I will get around to watching Kidnapped soon, Devon! I promise.
On the writing front, last night I backtracked to the point where it stopped working. It’s MUCH better now. And I added another five pages.
I’m up to 237 pages!
