After two days of thunder, lightning, tornadoes, and flooding the sun has come out and it’s a beautiful day!

Yesterday afternoon and last night I watched two episodes of Mystery! (so now I’m caught up for tonight’s), Three Moons Over Milford (ditto), the second episode of Men in Trees, and Vanished. Today, before the prime time shows start, I may watch Studio 60, NCIS and Standoff.

Needless to say, I’ve started the TV viewing weeding process. Much as I love Amazing Race, I fear it’s on the chopping block this time around. But that’s okay. They won’t be alone as the season progresses.

On the writing front, I didn’t get as much done last night as I would have liked. This idea I had of a way to go turned out to be not such a good idea. The more I wrote, the more I hated it. Plus, it didn’t make any sense and I couldn’t figure out a way to salvage it. So. Tonight, I’m going to wrestle control back out of the corner I painted myself into. (There’s a mixed metaphor for you!)

Wild weather here last night. We were under tornado warnings for most of the night. After last April’s tornado that destroyed half the town, everyone’s pretty freaked about having another one. We lucked out last night, though. They were all around us, apparently, but none here in town.

Today we just have flash flood warnings. Since we’re on high ground and I have plenty of Diet Coke on hand, I’m not going to worry about a little rain. ;)

The Stargate shows were good last night. Cliffhangers, of course. I’m hoping I got Ghost Whisperer and Numbers recorded. With all the storms, all the networks kept breaking in with weather alerts. Tonight I’ll catch up on stuff I’ve recorded. Gotta catch up before the upcoming week!

I didn’t get much writing done yesterday what with having to go hide in the closet every so often. Screwed with my concentration and creativity, too. *sigh* But, on the plus side, I’ve at least topped the 230 page mark because I’m now at 232!

Forbes magazine has just released its annual “Forbes 400″ list of the 400 wealthiest Americans. (And no, I’m not on it! :cursin:) This year, there are no mere millionaires on the list. There were BILLIONAIRES who didn’t even make the list!!! I want some of that action!!!

It’s crazy storming here. Started late last night and it woke me up this morning thundering and lightning-ing (is that a word?). Our ditches are on the verge of overflowing. What fun!

Now for last night’s TV lineup review! Survivor was interesting. But which chick on another team is Candace??? Loved Jeff’s reaction to Billy’s profession of love for Candace (whoever she is) even though I’d seen it umpteen times in the commercials. Deal or No Deal was fun, as usual. Then I watched CSI which I’d recorded. What the hell was that ending all about??? I know it was a two-parter, but even so I was REALLY confused.

Tonight, we have the season finales of the Stargate shows (gearing up for next week’s premiere—with TWO episodes! —of Doctor Who… but I digress). Tonight, we have the season premieres of Ghost Whisperer and Numbers, both of which have grown on me. So I’ll be catching them for sure. Men in Trees is on tonight, too. And Deal or No Deal. Whew!

On the writing front, the manuscript is now up to 229 pages!!!
