Happy Halloween!!! Nothing special planned here for the day (and night). I’ll be hiding out in my bedroom, as usual. 
And now for some slightly entertaining news involving sex, drugs, and ancient Egyptians. 
Sex and booze figured in Egyptian rites
Archaeologists say they have found evidence amid the ruins of an Egyptian temple that an annual religious rite featured sex, drugs and the ancient equivalent of rock ‘n’ roll.
Tonight on TV we have NCIS, Standoff, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Veronica Mars.
Started the read-through on the 1920s murder mystery. Maybe I’ve read it one too many times, but some of it seems really… lacking in something. I’m not sure what. Oh well. Perhaps things will pick up tonight.

Slow TV night tonight. Just Deal or No Deal, Heroes, and CSI: Miami. Unless the last one is a rerun…. Whoops. I see it is, so I guess I’ll watch something I have recorded. That’s cool.
I watched one of the Sci Fi Investigates episodes over the weekend. They were in Point Pleasant, WV exploring the legend of the Mothman. I was because the investigators include an archaeologist, a paranormal/UFO dude, a crime scene investigator, and (this is the one that cracks me up) Boston Rob Mariano from Survivor. Now, granted, his fifteen minutes of fame should have expired a long time ago. But he’s SO funny on this show! He’s supposed to be the skeptic. But in the two episodes I’ve seen something always happens to him that freaks him out. *g*
I’m about to print out a fresh copy of the infamous 1920s murder mystery—at last!—so I can get to work on that again. Break time is over.
Have I ever mentioned here how much I hate, loathe, and despise Daylight Saving Time? It is a pain in the neck (not to mention other body parts). I miss living in Arizona, the last bastion of Daylight Saving Freedom Time where they don’t put up with this nonsense.
And now our illustrious leaders have decided to EXTEND Daylight Saving Time next year under the theory it’ll “save energy”. 
Huh? How??? People will still have to go home and cook dinner, etc. at the same time as they do without it.They’ll still watch television. They’ll probably still turn on the lights because they’ll be indoors because it’ll likely be too cold outside to do anything even if it’s light enough! If I’m missing something here, I wish somebody would clue me in!
Er, not that I have any strong opinions about this or anything.
