I saw an ad last night for a new Ben Stiller movie called Night at the Museum. Now I can take or leave Mr. Stiller. But this movie looks so fun! Here’s a quick plot summary:

A bumbling security guard at the Museum of Natural History accidentally lets loose an ancient curse that causes the animals and insects on display to come to life and wreak havoc.

A quote from the movie trailer: “Larry: [hiding in elevator in the museum] This is so not worth $11.50 an hour.” No, I imagine not.

Back to first run episodes tonight on TV. :whoo: I’ll be watching Deal or No Deal, Heroes, and CSI: Miami, and I’ll be recording another three hour block of Threshold. We must be getting close to the end of the series now. *sigh* It was a most excellent show, it’s too bad CBS screwed it over with their stupid scheduling fiasco.

Anyway. Writing. Worked on the shapeshifter book a bit last night. Found some spots there near the end that really need work. Oops. :chainsaw: I think I must have been running out of steam by then.

Today’s horoscope:

Bring more of your feelings out in the open today. Don’t be so paranoid about what other people are thinking. At times you may feel as if you are in some sort of spy movie in which you play the starring role. The people around you are other players in the game, and you may feel that sometimes they cannot be completely trusted. Maybe they are working for the enemy. It is time to dismiss these thoughts from your mind.

If I’m in a spy movie I’d just as soon keep it that way. It’s way more interesting than I thought my life was! Besides, wouldn’t that be good research for writing???

Speaking of spies, go take the CIA Personality Quiz. I’m a Thoughtful Observer. :)

So, last night I watched a special I’d recorded off the Soap Network channel. They aired the two day episode span of General Hospital where Luke & Laura were first married. Do you guys remember that? They were the hottest duo in daytime TV back in 1981. I loved the whole Ice Princess storyline. Gosh, those were the good old days. Then I watched Flight of the Phoenix which was much better than I was afraid it would be. After that I channel surfed for a bit, then decided to crawl into bed to read. :book:

I took a break from writing stuff yesterday.

Well, the Christmas music has started here at Chez Tori. :)

Not much else going on. I guess that’s good…

By now, most people have probably heard about that Russian former KGB agent who was murdered in London, yes? Very James Bond-ish. You’d think something like that would only happen on television or in the movies. Or in books. Very bizarre. But the fine folks at Scotland Yard are on the job!

Speaking of TV, it’s Saturday so there’s not much on in my world, so it’s catch-up day. I could watch last week’s Smallville, or Bones, Sci Fi Investigates (the season finale), Is It Real? (though I don’t recall now what they were investigating), or a three hour set of Threshold (I currently have nine hours’ worth). Or I could watch one of the several movies I’ve had recorded for eons: The silent 1920 version of The Mark of Zorro, Because of Winn-Dixie, Flight of the Phoenix, Spiderman 2, or The Cat’s Meow (which is solely for research purposes into 1920s Hollywood…. ).

Now that I really think about it, I may do one of the movies because I realized I don’t have all the handwritten stuff keyed in for the shapeshifter book and I need to finish that up before I can print any more out to read through. :duh:

Late last night (early this morning?) I came up with a scene I needed for the 1920s murder mystery which was kind of a surprise. A pleasant surprise, though.
