A Christmas Meme!

    1.Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Both are fake (we have two, one in the living room and I have a little one in my bedroom).
3.When do you put up the tree?
Um… about halfway between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think.

    5.Do you like eggnog?
Ugh. That would be a no. *g*
6.Favorite gift you received as a child?
Oh, gosh. Tinker Toys or Lincoln Logs. (And I’m still beyond annoyed that my mom gave away my Lincoln Logs years ago. Do you know how much those suckers cost now to get them in real wood???)

    My dad.
    9.Easiest person to buy for?

This year they’re gonna have to be emailed because I was lazy and didn’t get cards out. Though I was thinking I might send out New Year’s cards. :)
11.Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Oh, that would have to be clothes. Who wants clothes for Christmas? *g* Gimme books!

15.Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
    Christmas cookies!
16.Clear lights or colored on the tree?
Colored lights on the living room tree. No lights on my little one.
    17.Favorite Christmas song?
That’s a tough one to choose, but I think I’d have to say “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt.
18.Travel at Christmas or stay home?
We used to travel to this neck of the woods, but now since we live here we stay home. *g*
19.Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeers?
Sure. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph, Robbie, and Olive the “Other Reindeer”.

I’d like to think so. :)
24.What would you like for Christmas?
A hot, sexy boy toy… but barring that, I’ll settle for books :book: DVDs, and music. :rocker:

Today’s horoscope:

You’re an idealist at heart, and your inner child sighs with pure pleasure whenever you see a happy ending—especially one that you helped bring about. You can play fairy godmother, especially to yourself.

Well, what I want to know is where’s MY Happy Ever After???

Last night I watched the first four hours of the six hour miniseries The Lost Room. Interesting show! Fun concept, too. And is it just me or does Peter Krause look like he could be Josh Duhamel’s (of Las Vegas) brother?

There’s not a lot on tonight, so I’ll watch the last two hours, for sure. Then I see Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck is on Turner Classic Movies so I’ll probably record that. It’s one of my favorite Chrismtas movies. :)

Reading and thinking about writing. Gotta gear up for the new year!

I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve Eve. Where did the time go??? :useyourhead: I am so not ready!

Last night’s Doctor Who season finale was every bit as sad as I thought it would be. But what an intriguing way to end the episode! Who was that woman? And how did she get inside the Tardis??? But I was right. I was sobbing there towards the end. :hissyfit:

There doesn’t appear to be much on tonight, so I may use the opportunity to watch stuff I have recorded.

Just for kicks, last night I started reading through what I have done on Claire & Tony’s story. She’s so funny. Very snarky. I love her to death. Come to think of it, though, most of my heroines are snarky. Hmm. :D Guess that trait comes from me….

I just heard this song called Christmas Cookies by the Oak Ridge Boys. Very catchy little tune. I’d never heard it before.

For your amusement… our small town local newspaper had a little article/announcement this week about a party being held next week, if I recall correctly. The thing is, it was announced as a SURPRISE party and had the woman’s name, naturally, and picture!!! If she reads our paper, I bet she WAS surprised. LOL!

And now for a meme!

    My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:
Empress Tori the Philomath of Greater Sodbury
    Get your Peculiar Aristocratic Title

Yes, I always suspected I was a long-lost Empress.

A horoscope for today:

An exaggerated attachment to your personal space is not helping matters. Focus on making someone other than yourself happy. Ask a friend to visit your home in order to have him or her offer advice about organizing things.

That last part is something I really need. Though I’m not inviting anybody over tonight. It’s the two hour season finale of Doctor Who. That’s more important than getting organized. Even though I know I’m going be sobbing by the end. *sigh*

Everything else I watch on Fridays is either being pre-empted or is a rerun. So. I finished up reading my Private Eye book last night. I’m thinking it’s time to dig out How to Write Killer Fiction by Carolyn Wheat or The Weekend Novelist Writes a Mystery by Robert J. Ray & Jack Remick.

While watching the show on the History Channel last night about the Spear of Christ (which isn’t really accurate since it wasn’t His spear….) I got to thinking about my Relic Hunter Chick—

Excuse me? You know I hate being called that!

Don’t you hunt for relics, Claire?

Well… technically, I suppose. But I don’t do it to line my own pockets. Oh, I know I’m well paid, but I’m paid to return things to their proper owners. Not sell them to the highest bidder. You know that, too. You’re doing this just to piss me off, aren’t you?

Not true! “Relic Hunter” is just a lot easier to type than “Archaeologist”.

Hmm. I see your point. Okay. Carry on. Tony’s got some crazy scheme he wants me to look into anyway.

Thank you. Give Tony my love. ;)

Anyway, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, the show last night gave me an idea for Claire & Tony. Of course, I guess I need to finish their first adventure together before I start thinking about another one….
