I just got a news alert that Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro was euthanized this morning. :( He fought the good fight. I’d like to think he’s now racing around and having fun with the likes of Seabiscuit, Man o’ War, Secretariat, and Ruffian.
I’m not sure how I feel about last night’s episode of The Dresden Files. I won’t do any spoilers, but it seemed like there was something missing. I’m curious to see what others think.
And what was up with that extra scene at the end of Battlestar Galatica? I couldn’t understand a word either Roslyn or Six said. And the scene wasn’t captioned. Very annoying.
Anyway. Writing.
I managed about a page last inght. And, you know how I said I took Saturday night off? I forgot I wrote a couple of paragraphs right before I went to sleep that night. Anyway, last night RHC asked what they’d do if rebels showed up and she was told they were well-armed.
She wanted her own gun, thank you very much. And much to my surprise, she knows a lot more about guns than I’d anticipated. In fact, her expertise surprised everybody in their camp. *g* I suspect she learned this skill from one of her brothers. Of course, since she’s frequently off on some wild expedition (like the one she’s on now) I’m sure she needed to learn how to protect herself. Still, I really was startled by how well she handled the gun she was given.
I saw the news about Barbora this morning. Very sad, that poor horse.
I was dissappointed in the Dresden Files. I know what’s wrong, Harry is a wizard who does no magic. They’ve taken the magic out of him. And freakin’ Bob is annoying, not fun like the books.

So sad about Barbaro… made me cry.
I haven’t seen the latest Dresden… sounds like I’m not going to like it much. *sigh*
Good going on the writing!

I hadn’t heard about Barbaro - poor thing!
I was wondering about the wizard/magic thing, but I still like Dresden.
