What is it about the words “all natural” that makes people automatically think it’s better? Poison ivy is all natural. So is hemlock. You won’t see me downing any of that :drunk: any time soon! People are very strange.

Okay. Let’s talk about The Dresden Files. They changed a few things from the book series. But I don’t think the changes were drastic enough to make me want to scream like some adaptations are. I found it fascinating that Bob sometimes has a physical presence (he doesn’t, per se, in the books). Overall, I really enjoyed it. I hope it does well!

Tonight’s the season premiere of Digging for the Truth on the History Channel. Love that show! And Josh Bernstein is hot. :) Plus, we’ve got 24 and the return of Heroes.

I only wrote about half a page last night. Just couldn’t get into the groove. *sigh*

There’s a show on the Speed Channel called the Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction. They sell classic and customized cars. Anyway, on last night’s show one of the cars they sold off was a Hummer used by CNN over in Iraq. It was restored and auctioned off last night for charity. The full proceeds of the sale are going to the Fisher House Foundation which assists families of military patients undergoing treatment in military & VA hospitals. You can read the full story here. Oh! The winning bid? A cool million! Plus another guy who was bidding right to the end kicked in an additional $250,000 even though he didn’t get the vehicle. :)

On the weather front, it’s raining. Again. :drowning: I am so sick of rain. We had a bit of sleet mixed in yesterday, but it was mostly rain. And it’s still fairly nasty out. But, c’mon! Can’t we have sun for at least two days in a freakin’ row???

Writing-wise, I wrote almost two pages last night! :whoo:

I haven’t talked TV much lately, primarily because it’s been the same old, same old. But tonight is the series premiere of The Dresden Files on the Sci Fi Channel. The show is based on the book series of the same name by Jim Butcher which I love. So I can’t wait to see the show. I hope they do it justice!

Vampires, that is. One of the books I read this week was The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason. This is a great book! Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Jane Austen. :) It’s the first book of a series, The Gardella Vampire Chronicles. I stayed up way later than I’d intended while reading it because I didn’t want to put it down until I was finished. :book: Though it’s labeled “paranormal romance”, IMO it’s more of an adventure/mystery/thriller. But maybe I just feel that way because I happen to love adventures and mysteries. ;) Anyway, I highly recommend it!

Now I just have to not so patiently wait until June for the next book… :hissyfit:

I’m still hobbling and still writing. Wrote a little over a page last night. Go, me! :cheer:
