Jack Valenti, the former head of the Motion Picture Association of America, died yesterday. He was 85. Valenti instituted the movie rating system still in place today. He was also considered to be one of the most influential pro-copyright lobbyists in the world.

Busy TV night tonight. New episodes of Ghost Whisperer, Identity, Stargate: SG-1, Raines, Stargate: Atlantis, Numbers, and Painkiller Jane. So, I’ll be watching the Sci Fi Channel shows and recording the rest.

I watched a show yesterday on the History Channel called Perfect Crimes? and one of the segments dealt with the 1922 murder of movie producer/director/actor William Desmond Taylor. It’s a Hollywood cold case. Lots of suspects, but none had enough evidence against them to be arrested, let alone convicted. I’d seen this episode before but I’d forgotten some of the things in it. Including another possible suspect who claimed on her deathbed that she’d been the one to shoot him. Must research her (she was also a movie actor back then)!

Wrote about half a page last night, I think. On the fairy tale. The Evil Duke is shooting ugly looks at our stalwart princess who is just throwing them right back at him. Why she hasn’t had him tossed in the dungeon yet is beyond me. *g*

  1. I’ve seen the previews for Ghost Whisperer, it’s freaky. I am REALLY looking forward to Raines.

Ooh, a Hollywood mystery. Aren’t those neat? *g*
I’m still waiting to see The Black Dhalia.

Sounds like the Princess is trying to be nice? Um, maybe she doesn’t want to start a war? *shrugs* C’mon, I can’t write my way out of a bag, you’ll figure it out. I have faith!
    Have a wonderful night.

  2. I’m looking forward to watching Raines.

Perfect Crimes sounds interesting. I’m going to have to check it out.

The flow in your writing will come and the princess will banish the evil duke.
