Today’s horoscope:

Learning about the things that interest you the most is something you may want to explore today. At work and at home, there’s a set schedule of what you must tend to, when. But on your own time, you are free to research and learn about anything your heart desires. Intellectual growth is something most Cancers enjoy, so why not spend some time on the Web, or visit the library to find out more about your favorite things? Whether this is cooking or genealogy, you’ll find something new.

Like I EVER need encouragement to do research.

My ankles/feet are driving me insane and I’m hobbling around like somebody twice my age. I’m ready for it to stop now, please. Any time now. I won’t mind. Really.

Hollywood’s lost another mainstay. Dabbs Greer. Don’t recognize his name? That’s okay. I bet you’d recognize his face. His most famous role was probably as the Reverend Robert Alden on Little House on the Prairie. He worked as a character actor in Hollywood for 50 years. He passed away on April 28 at age 90. Sadly, he never married and leaves no survivors. Let’s all remember him and be his virtual family.

Tonight on TV, we have new episodes of NCIS, Law & Order: Criminal Intent (in yet another ripped from the headlines story—so if you don’t want your crime fictionalized and played out on national prime time TV, don’t do the crime  ), Dancing with the Stars (results show), and Veronica Mars (:whoo: it’s about darn time!).

Worked some more last night on the Everything But the Kitchen Sink Book (aka the Krycek book). The thing is, I have enough ideas/notes/fan fiction-type stuff to use for this that it would probably fill multiple books. I’m having a hard time figuring out what to use in this one and toss out altogether and what to save for another volume. Hence the Kitchen Sink Book nickname. *g* And I also need to figure out how to rearrange it all so it makes sense to somebody who wasn’t reading any of it from the get-go. What chores I set up for myself!

I don’t usually post twice in one day, so if you didn’t see my earlier post here, check it out. :)

  1. Ah, that’s so sad about the actor not having any family. RIP, Rev. Alden. I’ll be part of the virtual family–the eccentric writer niece.

Yay on more writing on the kitchen sink book. I can’t believe you didn’t post about Heroes. It’s all I could not to go on and on about it myself, but since most of my blog readers don’t watch it I limited it to a paragraph. What did you think?

  2. Melissa, he’s now got at least two eccentric writer nieces. :) I found last night’s HEROES fascinating. Some of it I loved. Some I hated. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!

  4. {{{Tori}}} sorry that your ankle/feet continues to bother you.

I remember him. I’ll join his virtual family as a niece. RIP Dabbs Greer. I just saw that Tom Poston has also passed away. He being of the Newhart and Mork and Mindy show.

Kudos on the writing and good luck on the Everything But the Kitchen Sink Book. I wouldn’t throw out any notes..you can use them in another story/volume.

  5. Thanks, Brandy!

Dru, oh no! I just looked and he was on up there, too. 85. I wonder who’ll be next? These things always seem to happen in threes for some weird reason.

  6. I’m glad Veronica is back too, though I miss LoVe.

And I second the comment about Heroes being great last night!
