Wrote two and a half pages last night. The Detective Inspector asked Maddie & Alex’s opinion about what happened (he’d been ordered to cooperate with them). Maddie asked if he believed in magic. His assistant (who’s the cliche-ridden rude younger cop 
) couldn’t believe his boss would even consider magic as an option. So Maddie poked around his head and told him to be quiet or she’d tell everyone about some Very Embarrassing Event from his past. He then does his imitation of a fish out of water. *g*
