Okay, I hadn’t planned to comment on the football player involved in the dog fighting case, but I find I can’t keep my fingers quiet. :typing: I think dog fighting is despicable and disgusting. He can claim he’s not guilty all he wants. The ring was on his property so I find it impossible to believe he didn’t know about it. If the punishment was up to me? I’d say toss the bastard (and all the other people involved) in the fight ring and set the dogs on him. Yes, I know that’s really viscious of me, but I have no respect for people like him.

Ahem. On a happier note, last night I watched a show on G4 (formerly TechTV way back when) who were broadcasting from ComiCon, the world’s biggest comic book convention. Only it isn’t just for comics anymore. Lots of gamers and movie related people were there, too. In one segment they had the cast of the new Indiana Jones movie via satellite. And I found out that Karen Allen will be reprising her role as Marion Ravenwood! Fun!!!

Tonight is the best night of TV. :) We have Doctor Who, Gil Mayo, Psych (which has a shirtless Lou Diamond Phlips as a guest—yum!), and Painkiller Jane.

I didn’t write a single thing last night. I’m in desperate need of a break.

Reading: Thursday Next: First Among Sequels by Jasper Fforde. I’m about halfway through it. I wish I was half (heck, even a quarter!) as clever as he is.

  1. I need to go beg my sister for DVD’s of Season 3 of Dr. Who.
Went on Amazon yesterday and checked out all the Dr. Who accessories. Do you know he has playing cards?

  5. Crystal, yes, you must catch up on this season of Doctor Who!!!

Mahala, let’s toss ‘em all in with the dogs!

Marianne, I’m glad I’m not alone in my bloodthirsty way of punishment.

Mandy, I would LOVE to attend ComiCon. It looks like SOOOOO much fun!

  6. My hubs and kids would love to visit ComicCon.

As for the Dog Fighters, UGH! Despicable, detestable behavior. I like your method of punishment more than any the judicial system will come up with. And my heart bleeds for those poor animals. :(

Glad you took a break, you deserve it, you’ve been going like gangbusters for a long while now. Enjoy it.

I’ll be watching Psych tonight too!

Have a good night and RELAX!

  7. I’m with you on the dog fighting. It’s barbaric. However, I wouldn’t want the dogs set on these morons. Just let them tear themselves apart. The dogs have been through enough. And the saddest part of the tale is that none of those dogs they rescued will ever be adopted out. Once they’re trained to fight, they can never be trusted around people. They’re usually put down immediately. It’s a sad, sad situation.

I truly dislike people at times. Dogs, I love.

  8. The dog fighting is horrible. :yuck: I hope they throw the book at whoever is involved. Occupation or numbers of TDs made in a season should not matter.
