Have you ever had the urge to just hop in your car and drive cross country? I have. Of course, now I don’t drive (major depth perception issues), so I’d need somebody else to do the actual driving.
We won’t comment on the price of gasoline.
Anyway, I’ve been plotting road trip itineraries for fantasy trips. I’ve always wanted to get my kicks on Route 66. From Chicago to L.A.
If you want to really see the U.S., don’t drive on the interstate. Nasty things, interstates.
Two lane highways are the way to go! See fun things like the World’s Largest Ball of String, two story outhouses
, two-headed calves, the Pez Museum, or Prairie Dog Town! And don’t forget The Thing in Arizona!
Where would you go on a road trip if money were no object?
It’s Kyle XY and Cities of the Underworld night tonight.
Reading: I’m still working my way through The Hippopotamus Pool by Elizabeth Peters. I’d have been finished by now if I hadn’t been so tired
and could have stayed awake.
If money were no object…I’d be all over God’s creation. Start in one spot and meander the backroads to check out the local scenery and whatnot. Highways suck.
I’d much rather be in the sticks and find the unadvertised treasures.

I’d want to see everything there is to see, from the tacky roadside diners to the cheesy museums.

I’ve always wanted to see Mt. Rushmore. And as I’ve been from one side of the country to the other MANY times, I have no desire to spend more than a few hours in a car anymore. Of course that might have something to do with traveling with the kids. *g*
By the way, did you know it takes 2.5 days to drive across Texas? That state is too darn big! *g*
Hope you have a great day!

If I had a private jet, I’d hit the British Isles and Portugal… If not, I’d grab my RV and toodle all over the freakin’ continent. I’m driving, wanna go?

I would definitely need a driver (I don’t drive) and then I would visit all 48 contingous states spending time being a tourist and then cruise to Alaska and Hawaii.
How’s your ankle?
I hope you had a good Monday.
