Well, we’ve lost more famous people.

  • Tom Snyder (news anchor, radio personality, and talk show host)
  • Ingmar Bergman (film director)
  • There were others, but they weren’t people I’d heard of so I’m not sure they count as famous. Wait, that didn’t come out quite how I meant it…. They were obviously famous in their fields, but not to the general public at large. That sounds better. :)

And now for more news from ComiCon:

  • Dean Cain (of Lois & Clark fame) will play a villain this season on Smallville.
  • Lucy Lawless returns for at least two episodes of Battlestar Galactica‘s final season.
  • Tonight on TV: Tru Calling and Eureka (don’t forget to add time at the end, Marianne). Then tomorrow morning on Encore Drama, the 1966 movie Born Free is on. I’ve never seen it, but since it’s set in Kenya I have to record it. It’s RESEARCH!

On the personal front, I’m battling the beginnings of a sinus infection. :yuck: I hate that. So I’m popping extra vitamin C & E. That usually does the trick. My foot/ankle is STILL swollen. *sigh* But I’m somewhat able to walk better with the Funky Boot(tm) so I guess things are improving.

I’m still taking a break from writing. Eventually, I’m sure the urge to write will come back. It always does. :)

Reading: Seeing a Large Cat by Elizabeth Peters. :book: I personally own only one more of the series beyond this one. I guess then I’ll have to move on to the library’s copies.

    2. Hey! Bill Walsh… former coach of the SF 49ers passed away. He was AWESOME. Coached the biggies: Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice. C’mon… you have to have heard of him. Right?

Hope you feel better soon.

    3. Hope you get your will to write back soon.

Ah, Eureka is on tonight, I almost forgot.

Sorry to hear your ankle is still swollen, I hope it heals a bit more quickly for you.

Take care of yourself with the sinus infection!

I hope you have a nice day!

    4. I remember how deeply Born Free affected me as a child. I went through a phase where I really immersed myself in those books. Beautiful, wonderful and ultimately depressing.

    5. Bleh on the sinus infection. :yuck:

Had one of those last week myself. Never fun. Pop that Vitamin C.

    7. The longer you take a break, the harder it is to get back to it. Do something every day, even if it’s only a page.

    8. I couldn’t believe Ingmar Bergman died. I thought he died a long time ago :duh: I loved Tom Snyder and Dan Ackroyd’s impersenation on SNL was so hilarious.

Be careful with that sinus infection. They are nasty things.
