I found out yesterday that my favorite newspaper of all time is no more. Yes, folks, the Weekly World News has shut down its presses and closed the doors. No more stories about Bat Boy, Elvis, and visiting space aliens. Though my all-time favorite story was the woman’s mink coat that came to life and chased her down the hallway of her apartment building.
There was nothing on TV last night. And, surprise surprise, there’s nothing on tonight. I guess that’ll give me time to get caught up some of the recorded shows I’m behind in watching.
I wrote another page last night.
Reading: I decided it was time for something silly so I’m rereading Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.
My mother, God bless her, would pick up The Enquirer, The Star, and the abovementioned periodical. Then we would go snag some junk food and totally devour these papers.
Those were the days.
Congrats on the writing!!!

Wow, I didn’t know it shut down. No wondering I haven’t seen those flashy headlines in a while!

My favorite has always been the killer penguins.

Hmm, no wonder the stands at WW looked so forlorn. I always scan those titles as I wait in line.
WTG on writing another page.
I’m watching The Closer tonight.
Hope your headache is better.

Sorry about your newspaper. Pretty soon the new fall season begins and hopefully there will be plenty to watch.

Darn it. I’ll miss all those Big Foot babies and I was seduced by an alien headlines I would read in line at the checkout stand.
