Yesterday was the last day at one of the county fairs here. But it got shut down early due to shooting
and a riot.
Ten people ended up being arrested.
I ended up watching Cold Case last night and I was glad I did. I’d forgotten how much I liked the show.
Tonight’s a bit busier. A new show I want to see is Chuck (a comedy spy show). And then there’s the return of Dancing with the Stars
Heroes (which I’m gonna record because I don’t want to miss anything and I’m sure I would, otherwise), and CSI: Miami. Later I’ll be recording Life with Ed (Ed Begley’s show about living green on HGTV) and Digging for the Truth (tonight they’re doing pirates).
Wrote another page and a half with Bree & Dane. Then read some more on Jessie & Morgan. I don’t know why I stopped working on the latter. I’m really liking it so far.
Reading: Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie.
Loved last night’s Torchwood!!! Brandy, you must catch it when it repeats! The scene where Jack was teaching Gwen how to shoot gave me Fun Ideas on how to use the teaching of shooting as a seduction technique.
In fact, I may have to record that episode when it repeats so I can keep it for reference.
Tonight, there’s not a lot on but Billy Ray Cyrus is hosting a special on the History Channel about hillbillies. It looks like it might be entertaining. I’m not sure if I’ll watch it live or record it later and clear off some previously recorded shows instead. I should probably do that latter.
I wrote a page and a half last night on Bree & Dane’s story. Then I read some more through the old stuff. Surprisingly, that book almost has a plot.
What a concept!

Here’s a fun quiz:
Your home is a
Futuristic Headquarters
| Your kitchen consists of dilithium-powered food replicators, manned by obedient robot slaves, who are sure to never, ever rebel. I mean, it’s preposterous to even consider it. Your master bedroom has an on-call masseuse and sports therapist. Your study has every science fiction title ever written. One of your garages contains a life-sized X-Wing fighter, and KITT. (KITT was a gift from a well-meaning uncle.)
Your home also includes a robot repair bay, where your mechanized servants are routinely fitted with new restraining bolts. (It’s just a precaution.) Your guests enjoy your animatronic replica of the cantina at Mos Eisley. Outside is your radio telescope, listening constantly for alien transmissions. Especially invaders. They’ll come eventually, even if nobody believes you. (Nobody does.)

Hey, I really like this house!!!
Fun TV last night. Doctor Who was much more fun than last week’s creepfest. We had a guest visitation by Captain Jack Harkness from Torchwood. He was flirting with everyone in sight, male, female, even the freaky insect/humanoid alien. *g*
And tonight we’ll be seeing Jack on his own show.
And I’ll be watching recorded stuff, too. Gotta clear off those DVDs.
Right now, however, I’m watching the Brett Somers Match Game marathon on Game Show Network.
I only wrote one page last night. But I started reading through one of my really old projects that’s been begging me to come out and play. I’m somewhat surprised at how good it is. I used to be a pretty good writer! All the health problems and medications have taken their toll on my writing ability. *sigh* Maybe someday I’ll get the groove back.
