I could have gone for the scent of Christmas cookies yesterday. Instead our house was permeated by the stink of oven cleaner. Lord have mercy! :couch: Mom said it was the first time she’d cleaned this oven since we’d moved here. The instructions said it would be extra strong the first time. THAT was an understatement. Why can’t they make things like that smell better???

Okay, kiddies! Here’s last night’s Dancing With the Stars report:

All three couples got to do the freestyle last night where they could pretty much do what they wanted in the dance arena. :)

Mel B & Maks also did the Cha-Cha. I thought she was absolute perfection. The judges were a tad more critical. They got 28/30 points. Their freestyle was too hip-hop for my taste. They got 27/30 for it. I’m looking forward to see what their final dance tonight will be.
Marie Osmond & Jonathan did the Samba again. This was the dance she collapsed after doing it the first time. It wasn’t her best dance (and I still maintain she doesn’t deserve to be in the final—she isn’t that good of a dancer). They got 24/30 for it. Their freestyle was AWFUL and creepy. I thought Bruno hit the nail on the head when he described it as Baby Jane meets the Bride of Chucky. They got 22/30 for it.
Helio Castroneves & Julianne did the Jive. It was cute, but it’s not Helio’s best dance style. He got 25/30 for it. Their freestyle, though, rocked! It was definitely the best of the night. They got 29/30 for it. The judges all agreed that Helio’s the best all ’round dancer. I can’t wait to see what they do tonight!

I’m really rooting for Helio to win, but I won’t be unhappy if Mel B wins. She’s really good, too. But if Marie wins I’m going to scream.

And what the heck is up with Heroes?! I don’t know who’s a White Hat and who’s a Black Hat anymore. Except Hiro, Claire, and Peter. I’m pretty sure all three of them are good guys. And Sylar is Pure Evil. But it’s getting to where you can’t keep track of the players without a scorecard and the teams keep changing!

UPDATE: Why didn’t somebody remind me I forgot to put my TV reminders in this post? NCIS, Bones, Reaper and the really, truly finale of Dancing With the Stars. DWTS is on for two hours tonight to accomodate the final dance.

I managed to write another page last night. Yay, me! *g*

Reading: I set Cat’s Eyewitness aside for the time being and started reading Kasey Michael’s High Heels and Holidays which doesn’t really say “murder mystery” though it is one. It’s the fifth (I think) book in her Maggie Kelly series which is great fun because it’s about an author whose Regency-era hero & his comedic sidekick show up live and in person in her living room one day. I wish some of my heroes would do that…. ;)

  2. I’m definitely watching Bones.

Why does DWTS have to be on for two long hours?

    Kudos on the writing.

  5. It is hard to tell who is who on Heroes, but I think that’s good. Poor Peter is just too trusting a soul. He’s going to feel horrible when he realizes he’s aligned himself with a baddy.
