I could have gone for the scent of Christmas cookies yesterday. Instead our house was permeated by the stink of oven cleaner. Lord have mercy!
Mom said it was the first time she’d cleaned this oven since we’d moved here. The instructions said it would be extra strong the first time. THAT was an understatement. Why can’t they make things like that smell better???
Okay, kiddies! Here’s last night’s Dancing With the Stars report:

I love Christmas song parodies. Winter Underwear instead of Winter Wonderland. The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen instead of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. And the version of Angels We Have Heard On High which continues “Urge us to go out and buy”.
But I like the originals, too. Just in a different way.
Man, Cold Case was on almost an hour late last night due to the stupid football game. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate sports forcing my shows to come on late? Granted, I don’t much like the whole “we now join our regular programming in progress” either. But still. I never claimed to be consistent. LOL!
Tonight, it’s the finale of Dancing With the Stars. I am going to be so pissed if Marie Osmond wins this thing. She is NOT the best dancer. I like her and all, but she doesn’t really deserve to be in the finals, IMO. Also tonight we have Chuck, Heroes, and CSI: Miami.
Got in another page last night. Six more days and I can put this one aside and work on something else. And I am SOOOO looking forward to that. Why six days, you ask? Because one of my writing groups does this 100 Words for 100 Days thing. Granted, I’ve exceeded the daily word count every day, but I’ll stick it out for the full 100 days. Then I’ll reward myself with something new. Or old, as the case may be.
Reading: I picked up Cat’s Eyewitness by Rita Mae Brown last night, but I’m not sure I’m in the mood for it. For one thing I just realized I remember whodunit. Kind of spoils the mystery. *g*
It’s really nasty and gloomy here today. I so could do without cold rain. Ugh.
Busier night tonight than I expected. I found out a movie based on Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather is on ION (former known as PaxTV which was changed for reasons I’ve never figured out), plus Shannon Doherty’s Christmas Caper. Then the regular Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (it’s their 100th episode and it should be fun) and Cold Case.
Wrote another page last night. Nothing too exciting.
Reading: The Affair of the 39 Cufflinks by James Anderson. This is the third in his mystery series set in 1930s England.
