I hope everyone is having a lovely, lovely holiday today! It’s been a good one here. I got some Love Inspired Suspense books, two DVD sets (the full set of Keen Eddie and the second season of Remington Steele), a new sleep shirt with ice skating penguins on it
and some sleep pants with Tweety Bird (which was a nickname I had at one place I worked) and a pink sleep tee to go with it, a purple wallet (cool!) and three tins of these rolled wafer cookeis in chocolate and vanilla. Yum!
We have a tidbit of movie history today, too.
- In 1938, after auditioning hundreds for the role, producer David O. Selznick chose British actress Vivien Leigh to play Scarlett O’Hara in “Gone With The Wind.”
This is also a busy day for celebrity birthdays.
- Actor Humphrey Bogart
Jazz bandleader Cab Calloway
TV writer (and host of The Twilight Zone) Rod Serling
Singer Jimmy Buffett
Singer Barbara Mandrell
Actor Gary Sandy (he’s most famous for his role in WKRP in Cincinnati)
Actress Sissy Spacek
Singer Annie Lennox
Being Christmas Day, of course, there isn’t a lot on tonight. However, I’ll be watching the two-hour Deal or No Deal Christmas special.
Reading: I finished up How to Murder the Man of Your Dreams, then read my annual Christmas read, 101 Dalmatians by Dodie Smith. This was the original book that the movie is based on. Only it’s way better than the movie. Being less than 200 pages, however, it didn’t take me long to read it. So after I finished, I started The Spring Cleaning Murders by Dorothy Cannell.

Merry Christmas! Sounds as though you were given wonderful gifts! The purple wallet sounds cute! *g*
I hope you enjoy your evening! Again, Merry Christmas from me and my family to you and yours!

Merry Christmas, Tori! Nice gifts you got there. And I’m so glad you posted them because now I know what I’m getting hubby for his birthday on the 30th…the Keen Eddie DVD. He loved that show. Almost as much as the Pretender!!!
Thanks!
