How many of you remember the movie Baby Boom? It was on Oxygen the other day (actually, for several days) and I caught it during one scene that’s always been one of my favorite movie scenes. Diane Keaton is attempting to fix the flat on her car when Sam Sheppard drives up. She gets on her Big City High Horse and starts reading him the riot act about all the reasons why she wants to move back to the city from Vermont. She ends with “And what do you think about that?” He stares at her for a moment, then pulls her into this snow-melting steamy kiss. Then when she’s about to slide down the side of her car, he breaks it off and says, “See you around” and walks back to his car.
On this date in television:
- In 1947, the first “Howdy Doody” show, under the title “Puppet Playhouse,” was telecast on NBC.
Now, how many people knew there actually was television in 1947?
Tonight it’s more reruns. Shocking, I know. So I’ll be watching more episodes of Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi. It’s one of those shows I’ve never watched until recently and lucky for me, they’re showing it a lot!
Not much else going on around here. I guess that’s good.
I loved “Baby Boom”, and Sam Shepard.. Ooh-la-la… I could just eat him up

Baby Boom is one of my favorite movies. I thought the scene where they give the baby spaghetti and say “bon appettit” is hilarious.
As for tv tonight, well, I may just switch it to a music channel and make the kids entertain me. *G* KIDDING.
Have a good evening!
