The death of Heath Ledger is all the talk around the Blogosphere and elsewhere. It seems the preliminary autopsy was “inconclusive”. They’re now saying it could be ten days before they know what caused his death. Of course, the writer in me has this urge to turn conspiracy theorist and come up with all kinds of wild ideas about what really caused it. I’m trying to keep that part of myself quiet today, however.
In other news… the wacky weather. It’s currently 28 with a windchill of 23. Tomorrow night it’s supposed to dip down to 17 with possible snow. (We won’t go into how this is the day I’m supposed to go get my new shoes.) Then on Monday, they’re saying it’ll be 60!!!
What’s up with that?!
Tonight on TV, it’s Ghost Hunters, Deal or No Deal, Mythbusters, and, supposedly, new episodes of Criminal Minds and CSI: NY.
I wrote a couple of paragraphs last night of stuff to insert into the 1920s murder mystery. And I also read through chapter two. More good stuff. More stuff that needs work.
So surprising, I know. *g*
Reading: Dating is Murder by Harley Jane Kozak.
It is really, really sad, especially since it was so unexpected. I do hate how it almost immediately became a media feeding frenzy with everyone dissecting every tiny little aspect of his life. It very well could have been caused by an accidental overdose or medication interactions, but so many are jumping to the worst possible conclusion. I choose to wait and see what the official word is. Whatever it is and whatever his loss to the movie-going public, it’s so much worse for his family and friends who have to go through the loss so publicly.

I find the mis-information that floated around the worst of it. For goodness sake’s can’t the media let the family grieve in peace without turning it into a media circus. And his Daughter, I feel especially bad for her.
Glad to hear you are still writing! YAY TORI!
Have a good evening. (We’ll be getting a drop in temperature tomorrow. I hope your able to pick up your shoes.)

yes, well, I’m waiting to see if it’s really a new episode of Criminal Minds…
Oh, good for you on adding to the 1920’s murder mystery!!

I’m still having a hard time with Heath’s death. I’m not crying or anything like that. It just feels so unreal. Shocked, I guess. I keep waiting for the reporters to say they made a mistake.

I hope you’re able to get your new shoes.
I’m looking forward to watching new episodes of Criminal Mind and CSI: NY. Oh guess what, my DVR did tape the last new episode of Moonlight. Yeah me.
Yay you on writing and re-reading your story. I’m glad it is good stuff.

I just find the things so bizarre and keep waiting for it to be a really bad joke. I just hope the truth of what happens comes out with those additional tests they’re running. Thank goodness his daughter can’t read! It is a frenzy out there.

I’m suspecting he accidentally took some combination of drugs he shouldn’t have. It’s easy to forget about drug interactions. What really hit me was Jack Nicholson saying he warned him. Playing a psychopath like the Joker has got to mess with your head.
