No, not the ’80s band by that name! But my new shoes I got today. These puppies are gonna take some getting used to. I used to wear a size 7 1/2. These are a size 9!!! :confused68: They had to be larger to accommodate the orthotic inserts. Maybe some day I’ll even be able to walk without tripping in them. *g*

Now, some replies to yesterday’s comments:

Kacey, TV is REALLY boring right now. I keep hoping the studios/networks will figure out that people really don’t give a flying flip about all these ridiculous reality shows. I prefer my reality shows on HGTV, Discovery, and my ghost hunting dudes. :)

Dru, I can just imagine how much coverage you guys are getting up there!

Melissa, there were TWO new episodes of Chuck!!! We have now seen all the pre-strike episodes. Much as I love this show, I can’t help but think they’ve gone about as far as they can go with the concept. :(

Tess, I was pretty upset about the masseuse’s call to Mary-Kate Olsen, too, but I heard later even if the woman had called 911 first, it wouldn’t have saved his life. But why the heck did she call Mary-Kate Olsen?! Weird!!!

Oh, I just watched the trailer for the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Looks great! I have one small quibble. The actor playing Prince Caspian is MUCH too old for the part. He’s supposed to be about 8 or 10 years old in this one. The actor is a hunky young stud named Ben Barnes. In real life he’s 27!!! But, boy oh boy, is he ever YUMMY! Hey, at least he’s of legal age.

Read through 30 pages of the 1920s murder mystery (which does actually have a title!) last night. I didn’t find anything that needed fixing which surprised me a great deal. I’m thinking I just wasn’t critical enough. *g*

  1. Well, Chuck was cute at first, but now I find it a bit contrived, so I guess we’ll see if it returns after the strike. I don’t like reality shows, and I’m not a LOST fan either.
Maybe it’s not that you’re not critical enough, maybe it’s REALLY GOOD! *g*

    Have an pleasant evening!

  2. Yeah.. I’m with you on Caspian. It’s wrong, but he’s cute enough, I’m able NOT to care a whole lot.

Good luck in the shoes. You must feel a bit like a clown.

  3. Tori, I read that the masseuse called MKO 4 times (well, that’s according to the media). I don’t understand why she didn’t call 911 first. I hope she can explain her reasoning. Oh then I heard that she is not licensed in NY.

    Good luck with the shoes.

I’m not a fan of reality shows, I already have to deal with my own reality. I want my regular TV shows which I see as my escapism to life.

Are you going to submit your stories?

  4. And then the other thing about TV is that I figured I could catch up on some shows that I haven’t been watching much of and what do I find. Shows that I have already seen - what part of “I haven’t watched them very much” do they not get? Take Bones tonight - I’ve only watched a few (very few) episodes and wouldn’t you know it - one of them is what’s on now. Rant over. :couch:

I hope you get used to your shoes soon.

  5. Brandy, thanks!

Marianne, I do! Just call me Clarabell. *g*

Dru, that’s just mind-boggling! Re reality shows, exactly! I have enough problems. I don’t need to see other people’s. And, yes, I plan to try submitting my stories soon.

Bailey, don’t you HATE when that happens?!
