There isn’t a lot on tonight, but one thing that is on is the 1924 silent movie Beau Brummel. It stars the legendary John Barrymore and Mary Astor. I usually prefer my silent movies to be comedies (love, love, love Harold Lloyd), but I sometimes watch dramas just for atmosphere/inspiration. I’ll be recording it, though. And I’ll watch my treasure hunting show on the Travel Channel. The hostess is going in search of dinosaur bones and petrified wood. (That’s another show that’s useful for inspiration.)
In our never-ending wacky weather, it’s currently 64 degrees. What’s up with that?! And they’re predicting “strong thunderstorms” this afternoon. I could so live without that, thank you very much.
Read through 20 pages last night on the murder mystery. Made some notes. I need to do some streamlining because I’ve got too darn many suspects.
Reading: The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club by Dorothy L. Sayers. More 1920s inspiration. This one was written in 1928.

I haven’t even checked to see what will be on this evening. Silent movies, eh? Which is your absolute, hands down favorite?
Good work, reading over those 20 pages. Good luck dwindling down the suspects! Do you have a “red herring” in there as well?
Oh, have you heard of a new book due out next month titled No Good Girls by Jean Marie Pierson? I’m having trouble locating info on it.
Have a good afternoon and I share your thoughts on the weather, we have the same here. Except I LIKE thunderstorms. *g*

Can you have too many suspects?
And, the closest I’ve come to watching silent movies is “Singing in the Rain”, LOL.
Yep… it’s warm here, too — about 34 degrees — and RAIN tomorrow. In January. That’s just weird.

Brandy, my absolute favorite silent movie? Douglas Fairbanks’ The Mark of Zorro of course!
And, yeah, that have to be red herrings.
I’ve never heard of that book.
Marianne, trust me, I have waaaay too many possible suspects.

You’re inspiring me to re-read Dorothy Sayers!

Good for you on reading 20 pages. Couldn’t some of the suspects be red herrings?

Ah, Zorro! Should have known! *G*
Darn, you hadn’t heard of the book? I thought for sure you’d know. I can hardly find ANYTHING on the book and nothing but one article by the author. Oh, well.
Have fun with the suspects and have a good evening!

You know. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a silent movie. Ever.
(hey it’s down to 15 degrees here! Was 40 this afternoon! Too strange!)
