I just got a news alert stating Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment a little over an hour ago. More news as it becomes available.
I’m just absolutely gob-smacked.
UPDATE: His death may be drug-related. He was found surrounded by pills. This is really surprising because as far as I know, he’s never had that kind of reputation.
I feel a little like Suzanne today. We don’t live in the country itself. We live in a small town, population about 1200 (maybe less since the 2006 tornado). Anyway, we live on the last street on the south side of town. Across from us are houses and then a field. I’m not sure what crop they grow in that field, but that isn’t what this post is about. Our street dead ends at a friend’s farm equipment sheds. Last night, one of the farmer’s fully-loaded grain-hauling trucks came down our street and ended up in the ditch at the highway a block up. Took out a power pole (which fortunately wasn’t connected to our power) and had the truck on its side. Much excitement ensued! Though I couldn’t see much from my room. And it was too darn cold to go stand outside.

Can we move on to Tuesday now, please? I’m not thrilled with this day, thus far. Come to that, I’m not overly happy with 2008.
Tonight on TV, we have lots of repeats (what a shock!) and Ghost Hunters, Deal or No Deal (I wish somebody would win the million!), and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (of which I have yet to watch any episodes).
This has been making the rounds, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. If you want to play yourself, bold the shows you’ve seen at least 3 times. Some of these I may have seen 3 times or more, but I don’t remember. And, yes, we know my taste isn’t always the best. *g*
