Suzanne Pleshette, the actress who played Bob Newhart’s wife for many years on The Bob Newhart Show has died from respiratory failure. She was 70.

Another actor who has died is Allan Melvin. Who is Allan Melvin, you ask? He played Sam the Butcher on The Brady Bunch. He was 84.

Well, I don’t actually have anything specific to say about this date in history. Not at the moment, anyway. But I’m gathering information for future use. Birthdays of celebrities. Those that were born prior to 1930, that is.

I suppose I could mention a couple of actors who were born on this day. Actress Jean Stapleton was born in 1923 and actor Fritz Weaver was born in 1926.

There are a couple of new movies on tonight which look fun. Husband for Hire on Oxygen and The Good Witch on Hallmark. I’ll record one and watch the other.

I wrote half a page last night. I thought I was pretty much finished. My characters thought otherwise. *g*

Reading: Corpse Diplomatique by Delano Ames. This is the third book in the series, but the second one I own. Want the rest!!! Need to win the lottery or something….

Another of my guilty pleasures is watching the Barrett-Jackson classic car auctions on Speed. Even though I can’t drive anymore (blame the eyes and their loss of depth perception), I still have a major thing for collectible cars. Last night they had a 1934 Chevy that was so totally sweet. I wanted it bad. And I’d love to know how all these people can afford to buy these cars! Some of these things sell for well in the upper six figures or more! Who are these people? And how can I be as rich as they are?

I heard this morning that former chess champion Bobby Fischer died. He was only 64.
