It’s that time again when we spring forward. Personally, I hate Daylight Saving Time.
One of the many things I miss about Arizona is the lack of Daylight Saving Time. Trust me, when it’s a 115 degrees outside, you want the sun to go down as soon as possible. But our illustrious (she said very sarcastically
) congressmen in their infinite wisdom (cue yet more sarcasm) decided that expanding Daylight Saving Time would “save energy”. Yeah. Right. Never mind that every study done on the subject proved just the opposite.
Well, Autism Awareness may have a weird name, but he won yesterday’s El Camino Real Derby.
There’s a show on tonight on National Geographic entitled Aftermath: Population Zero which is similar in nature to Discovery’s Life Without People about what happens to everything civilization has built after all the people are gone. I think a lot of what they speculate on would happen even if there were a few people left which whets my appetite to write a doomsday aftermath type science fiction story. So I’m recording it.
I’ll be watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and I think I’ll give Dexter a try. The ads for it keep making me think I might enjoy it.
And for those of you who want me to come work on your closets… *cue hysterical laughter* It’s taking me weeks to do mine! And once I’m finished, I’m done with closets, thanks all the same.
Reading: I read Gemma Halliday’s Alibi in High Heels last night. In its entirety. It’s a great book! If you like romantic mysteries, you must give the series a whirl.
Who won the Flamingo Stakes? I’m too lazy to look… but I always used that race to determine who I liked in the Derby.
That Zero Population thing sounds interesting. I may have to TiVo it.

Hmm, Population Zero looks interesting.
Wasn’t Alibi a hoot? This was Gemma’s best book yet.

I have been curious about the Zero Population thing as well. I may record it, too.
As for Daylight Savings? IDIOTS. I overslept today because of it. GAH!
And I tried Dexter the Pilot episode they had on a couple of weeks ago (I don’t have HBO/SHOWTIME.) and to me, it was like watching a car accident. You are horrified and yet for some reason can’t look away. *g* It was interesting to say the least, but we don’t watch it anymore. *g*

That show, another I’ve never heard of, sounds really cool. I may have to check it out.
I love that Horse’s name. What great pr for autism!

Autism Awareness…hm…
Daylight Savings Time doesn’t bother me much. I kind of just change the clocks then ignore it. It was a bit harder to get up this morning, but that’s about it.
I think it’s just Arizona and Hawaii that don’t have DST now, isn’t it?
I actually thought I might come here and read all about DST. Why is started. Who started it. Ect. Cause I know it always irritates you so much
