After our sunny, warm days this cooler, rainy weather is most unwelcome. Of course, I’m sure it’s even more unwelcome where they’re still having flooding issues. They so do not need more rain. Which we’re supposed to have through at least Tuesday.
Tomorrow at Gulfstream Park in Florida, they’ll be running the Florida Derby. Before we know it, it’ll be time for the Kentucky Derby!
There is absolutely nothing on tonight. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I think maybe I’ll watch the first Young Indiana Jones movie. And something else that’s only an hour long. But I haven’t decided what. Yet.
Read through 50 pages on the fantasy. I’m nearing the end of what I have written and it needs work. It’s all over the place and has lots of inconsistencies. But, hey, if that’s the main part with problems, I can cope.
Reading: Now I’m re-reading Susan McBride’s Night of the Living Deb. It’s the fourth in her Dropout Debutante mystery series.
For those of you up north, don’t read this. But I’m wearing shorts at the moment. That’ll change tomorrow when the cold front comes through, but I woke up hot, so I thought “Why not wear shorts today?”
Have I mentioned lately how amusing I find the Sci Fi Channel show Destination Truth? The host of the show Josh Gates has this snarky sense of humor (sort of like me *g*) and his comments as he and his team go in search of various and sundry mythical/legendary creatures around the world just crack me up.
Tonight on TV, we have Deal or No Deal, Smallville, Reaper, and Eli Stone. Lost is running reruns until new episodes return at the end of April. Also on tonight is X2: X-Men United which I somehow managed to miss when it came out. So I may watch that tonight and record the other shows. We’ll see.
I read through 60 pages of the fantasy last night. It does need some work, but so far the plot seems to be holding together which is always a plus.
Reading: I’m still reading Candy Apple Red by Nancy Bush. Must get the other books in the series.
Well, last night was the series finale for my beloved Jericho. I’m sad the show is over (unless they succeed in getting one of the cable channels to pick it up), but it was a mostly satisfying ending. It would have been improved if the Blonde Bimbo had bought the farm, though.
Dancing with the Stars was fun, too. The two pairs (it was a double elimination round) who were booted off deserved to be. [»]
