No, I’m not talking election crap. I’m so sick of election crap. I’m talking about the voters on Dancing with the Stars. They kept Shannon Elizabeth and got rid of Marlee Matlin. Oh well, if we’re lucky, Shannon will bite the dust next week.

I’m going to keep this post as short as possible because my left hand is getting worse and I couldn’t write last night because I couldn’t even feel the damn pen. *sigh*

Tonight on TV, the usual Ghost Hunters :whoo: (that’s guaranteed to cheer me up), Deal or No Deal, and Men in Trees.

Reading: Sick Puppy by Carl Hiaason. He’s a new-to-me author. I thought it was a murder mystery, but I’m starting to think I was mistaken. It’s supposed to “riotously funny”. I’m finding it only mildly amusing. But it’s early on. I’ll keep reading it even though it’s not my usual fare.

  1. We all like Hiaason’s YA novels, FLUSH and HOOT, but haven’t read of his adult stuff.

    {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} on the hand.

  2. The kids from NYC didn’t win the contest. I did prefer the first team and that young man is going to be a heart-stealer when he gets older.

Did you see how Shannon cried? Oh please. I would have loved to see Marlee continue.

The performance by the Riverdance team was awesome. I kept looking at their foot movement.

    Sorry about your hand. {{{Tori}}}

    Have a good Wednesday.

  3. I finally watched an entire episode. I really had no idea about the teams, just thought the women wore hideous amounts of eye shadow so the results part was ho-hum. Loved, loved the Riverdance segment, which is the whole reason I watched. Thought the kids part was interesting. Both pairs were good, but I couldn’t get past the height difference in that second pair. It just looked weird with her being taller and bigger than him so I think the right kids moved on.

You’ll have to keep me posted on the rest of the season, Tori!

  4. Sorry about your hand. That seriously sucks.

I tried Carl Hiaason because he had a rep for being hysterical, and I love me a good comedy. I didn’t get past the first chapter. I didn’t even find it moderately amusing. I found it distasteful and stupid. But, that’s just me, and I’ve been known to be in the minority before.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  5. I find that my humor varies greatly from other readers. So “riotously funny” may not even register on the humorometer. *shrug*
    FEEL BETTER!

  6. Hmmm, I am weird in that I don’t read many male authors but this sounds if not funny, than at least interesting.
I am so sorry to hear about your hand. I hope you find a way for it not to hurt soon.
As for DWTS, I really thought Shannon Elizabeth was going home. Marlee Matlin was good, and I admire her for doing so well.
I hope you feel better, HUGS.

  7. We DO have Men In Trees tonight? I didn’t realize it! Yay! Was it on last week and I missed it?
