I frequently feel like I’m getting nowhere fast. Spinning my wheels. Whatever saying hints at that sort of thing. But it’s been a lot worse lately. I guess the pinched nerve or whatever it is that’s causing the numbness in my hand is getting me down. *sigh*

Anyway. Onward.

Busy night on TV. Smallville (I’m getting bored by this show, though, so I may give it up), Survivor: Backstabbers, CSI, Without a Trace, and the return of new episodes for Lost.

I managed to make some more notes on the fantasy last night. Then I had to use this thingamajig on my hand/wrist that shoots you with electric impulses because my hand went so numb it was ice cold and felt like somebody was stabbing me with an ice pick. Fun. Not.

Reading: I gave up on Sick Puppy because life’s too short to read something I’m not really enjoying that much. Then I tried 1st to Die by James Patterson. Now I love the TV show Women’s Murder Club. But I just could not get into the book. So I gave that one up, too, and dived into Lean Mean 13 by Janet Evanovich. I enjoyed that one a lot more. :)

On this date in 1898, the first movie theater opened at the Koster & Bials Music Hall in New York City. Yes, 1898!

Today is also the 80th birthday of the legendary Shirley Temple.

No, I’m not talking election crap. I’m so sick of election crap. I’m talking about the voters on Dancing with the Stars. They kept Shannon Elizabeth and got rid of Marlee Matlin. Oh well, if we’re lucky, Shannon will bite the dust next week.

I’m going to keep this post as short as possible because my left hand is getting worse and I couldn’t write last night because I couldn’t even feel the damn pen. *sigh*

Tonight on TV, the usual Ghost Hunters :whoo: (that’s guaranteed to cheer me up), Deal or No Deal, and Men in Trees.

Reading: Sick Puppy by Carl Hiaason. He’s a new-to-me author. I thought it was a murder mystery, but I’m starting to think I was mistaken. It’s supposed to “riotously funny”. I’m finding it only mildly amusing. But it’s early on. I’ll keep reading it even though it’s not my usual fare.
