There’s been another death in Hollywood. Academy Award-winning director Sydney Pollack died yesterday from cancer. He directed such vastly different movies as Out of Africa and Tootsie. He was 73.
So. That’s two. Who will be the third?
Another night of nothing to watch on TV. But that’s okay. I have plenty more Young Indiana Jones movies to watch.
Not to mention a plethora of other movies.
Hey, Memorial Day is over so we can wear white shoes now!
Not that I ever paid all that much attention to the rules anyway. I always thought it was a stupid rule. I mean, it wasn’t even consistent. You could wear white tennis shoes or boots but not pumps or sandals. Hello?
Crazy!
Reading: Right now I’m reading Murder at Bent Elbow by Kate Bryan. This is the first book in the Maggie Maguire mystery series which is set in the 1880s Wild West. It’s a fun series. I’ve had the first two books for a long time but I only recently was able to get the third book (it was really hard to find a copy). So I decided to read
the whole series in one fell swoop.
LOL, I was SO brought up with that tradition. No white shoes until after Memorial Day

I think we always ignored that rule.

Kacey, I was brought up with it, too, but even as a kid I thought it was stupid.
Michelle, good for you guys!!! I think we should be rebels and ignore it. LOL!

We in the South were brought up that no white before Easter. I don’t know if my Mom ever said anything about Memorial Day. (She was from MA.) But, tennies were okay as long as they were leather, canvas sneakers had to wait, too. *G*
I read about Mr Pollack. What a loss.
Enjoy your Indiana Jones movies and books!

LMAO on the grim reaper. I do hope your wrong this time, but passed on the past I’m sure they’ll be another.
I gave up following the white after memorial day, but at least now I’m fashionable. At least until labor day rolls around.

He is the third. There was Dick Martin and the teenager who appeared in HARRY POTTER who got stabbed.
