We’ve had another celebrity death. Yesterday, Harvey Korman passed away at age 81. I loved him on The Carol Burnett Show.
Tonight on TV, it’s Sci Fi Friday. The Sarah Jane Adventures, Doctor Who, and Battlestar Galactica.
Cool news item on CNN about an “uncontacted” tribe in the Amazon rain forest.
Okay, now I’m going to talk about last night’s season finale of Lost. Spoilers ahead, so proceed at your own peril.
Wow. What a roller coaster!
Favorite line(s) after Locke watched another weird little training film from the Dharma Institute:
Locke (to Ben): Was he talking about what I think he was talking about?
Ben: If you mean time traveling bunnies, then yes.
As usual, we now have just as many new questions as we had old ones answered. I spent the whole flash forward sequences wondering who the heck the late Jeremy Bentham was. I certainly didn’t expect him to be Locke! And if he didn’t commit suicide (as Sayid hinted to Hurley), who killed him? And what was he doing off the island anyway? Ben left him on the island to be the new leader of the Others. Why is Sun working with Charles Widmore? Does she not realize he’s just as responsible, if not more, for Jin’s death (which really pisses me off
) than Jack since he hired the bastard who wired the freighter filled to brim with C4? And why did Jin stay behind anyway? He wasn’t an explosives expert. There wasn’t anything he could have done anyway! His death seemed really pointless to me. Though since he was on the deck of the ship when the explosion occurred, I suppose there’s always a very slim chance he survived. At least Sawyer survived which I worried about when he jumped from the helicopter to lessen the weight (after they were losing fuel).
Why did the Oceanic Six choose Boone, Charlie, and Libby as the ones who survived the crash but died on the island? If they were choosing people who actually did die, why not include Boone’s stepsister Shannon, Ana Lucia, Doc Arzt, Mr. Eko, or those two actors turned diamond thieves whose names also escape me? Or would that be too suspicious to have that many “deaths”?
But
Desmond & Penny have been reunited!!!
And we got to see Walt! Who’s looking way more grown up than when he was last seen by the survivors. He’s even got a little mustache thing going on!
I got a giggle during a “commercial” for Octagon Global Recruiting. A company looking for unpaid volunteers in various fields. The dates of the recruitment are the same as San Diego’s ComiCon this summer. *g*
If you want a more in-depth analysis/synopsis check out Lostpedia. They have even more question than I do.
Reading: I started Nightmare in Shining Armor by Tamar Myers last night.

I don’t watch Lost, but the time traveling bunny qoute was quite funny.
I remember watching harvey Korman on the Carol Burnett show, he was great.
I’ve read some of those books by Myers. *G*
I hope you’re having a lovely day!

Brandy, the time traveling bunny line cracked me up. It was so totally deadpan.

Is Lost another show that is not coming back next season?

I loved Locke watching the video saying never put anything metal in the compartment, then watching Ben pile everything metal he can find in there. The look on his face was great.
Hurley playing chess with Mr. Eko was another highlight for me. Along with Desmond and Penny being reunited.
I get the sense that time travel is possible to reverse some or all of what just happened so I’m not counting Jin out yet.
I think Widmore better watch his back. Sun is a dangerous woman and I think she has plans for him.
I was lucky enough to see Harvey Korman and Tim Conway do their stage show a couple years ago. I’m very glad we shelled out the money.
