Dick Martin of the hit 1960s TV show Laugh-In has passed away. He was 86.
And a teenaged actor named Rob Knox, who portrays Marcus Belby in the upcoming Harry Potter movie was fatally stabbed during a fight outside a bar in London. He was only 18.
I realized yesterday that our barking frogs are back. It took me awhile to figure out that’s what I’d been hearing. So funny!
There is absolutely nothing on tonight but reruns. So guess what I’ll be watching? That’s right, kids, more recorded shows! Last night I watched four hours (two movies) of the Young Indiana Jones movies. I’m surprised they made them as long as they did considering their budget. If I recall correctly, the movies had some of the largest budgets ever for made-for-TV movies. Most of which was because they filmed on location in whatever part of the world the episode was set. Quality shows. I’ve now worked my way up to the Sean Patrick Flanery episodes. He was quite the hottie back then. In fact, he’s still pretty hot. But in the strangeness that is Hollywood, he played the teenaged/early 20s Indy when he was in his late 20s/early 30s. For some reason this amuses me to no end.
Thanks for the reassurances that I’m not as boring as I think I am.
The room redo is going way more slowly than I’d like. My stamina sucks. It wasn’t good to begin with, but last year’s Broken Ankle From Hell has made it even worse. And Mom’s now got the creeping crud my dad had last week. She’s my main assistant and there’s a lot I need to do that I can’t do on my own. As Roseanne Roseannadanna would say, “It’s always something.”
In the world of music, my current favorite song is Nine Lives by
Def Leppard & Tim McGraw. What’s really funny is the song is a total Def Leppard song, yet it’s #16 on the Top 20 Countdown on CMT.
Reading: I’m about halfway through From Here to Paternity by Jill Churchill. It’s pretty funny and it has a genealogy angle which is fun.
So whose vehicle was it???
