I have nothing in particular to say today, so you’re going to get a whole bunch of this and that.

First up, from National Geographic, we have a story about the remains of a “lost” Egyptian pyramid that’s been found.

I read this morning that once again Hollywood is incapable of making an original movie. Now they’re going to remake I Dream of Jeannie.

Some of you have been wondering about The Closer’s season premiere. It’s July 14th.

On the music scene, have any of you heard (or seen the video) of Kid Rock’s new song All Summer Long? It’s a quirky little song that samples both Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Then there are the funny Father’s Day commercials. My favorite is the one from Hallmark with the dad doing M. C. Hammer’s hit U Can’t Touch This. The other one that makes me giggle is from Dairy Queen. This Catholic priest is eating a Father’s Day ice cream cake from DQ. He says something like “I’m not a biological father, of course. But it’s called just ‘Father’s Day’. The sisters got me this cake, so I’m eating it.” It’s a lot funnier on TV.

Tonight on TV, I’ll be watching Charlie Jade, Doctor Who, and Battlestar Galactica. And I’ll be recording the first episode of Greensburg which premieres on Discovery Channel tonight. The show thens moves to its regular network, Planet Green. The show is about the rebirth of Greensburg, Kansas after their devastating tornado (an F5) in 2007, and how they’re rebuilding the town to be as green as possible.

Reading: Found the dinosaur eggs last night and hatched a triceratops, so Indy has now moved on to his next adventure in Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth by Max McCoy. This time Indy & Co. are headed for the Arctic.
