Last night I watched Surf’s Up. I thought it was really cute. But I started laughing at myself because I kept thinking, “No way are you going to find penguins on a tropical island.” And because, you know, it’s perfectly normal for penguins to TALK.

Tonight we have more U. S. Olympic trials. Track & field and swimming. Go, Michael Phelps!!! :cheer: We also have new episodes of Greensburg (which I’m behind on watching), a new Inspector Lewis mystery, and In Plain Sight.

I really like today’s horoscope:

This is a perfect day for organizing your home. It would do you some real good to totally revise your system of organizing your paperwork, investing in new notebooks, folders, and color-coded files. You know how much you enjoy buying office supplies! Think of also splurging on some art supplies. The little kid in you would love some watercolors and a giant pad of paper!

They really shouldn’t encourage me to buy office supplies…. They’re right about one thing, though. I do need to reorganize my desk. Well, not just the desk. I need to finish working on my closets, too.

I read some more from the dry research book. It’s getting a little more interesting now that we’re getting to the part about the movie studios moving to Hollywood. And I’ve got a scene percolating in my brain, though I haven’t actually written it down yet. I guess I should do that before I forget it… :useyourhead:

Reading: I’m still reading The Case of the Murdered Muckraker by Carola Dunn.

  1. My name is Marianne, and I’m an office supply addict.

Funny, but true. And, I’ve passed it on to my DD. The other day in Staples she said, “Mom, I just really like how office supplies smell.”

  2. When my mom and I were in Maui, we wandered into the Hyatt at Kaanapali and saw….PENGUINS! And they weren’t in an arctic enclosure or anything. Just a little cordoned off area in the hotel lobby. It was amazing. I have pictures somewhere, but I’d have to hunt them down.

I liked SURF’S UP way better than HAPPY FEET (had a really hard time not leaving in the middle of that one).

There are two places I’m not allowed to go unsupervised under any circumstances: an office supply store or a home improvement store.

  3. Ooh, office supplies. I could spend a fortune in one of those stores. *G* And I’m addicted to post-it-notes. *G*

I haven’t seen Surf’s Up. I need to check on that for the kids. Thanks for the heads up!

    I hope you’re having a happy Sunday!

  4. office supply stores are EVIL. Evil I tell ‘ya.

I’m watching Army Wives again tonight instead of In Plain Sight.

Hey have you caught The 10th Circle movie? I want to see it. Read the book. I think it’s on lifetime?
