I forgot to tell you yesterday, but my mom was outside talking to our across-the-street neighbor Sunday evening when one of the town cops drove by. He stopped and asked which house was shooting off fireworks. Our neighbor told Mom, “It wasn’t even me who called!”
It’s been blissfully quiet ever since. Yay!!! And I found out yesterday their son (of Noisy Neighbor fame), who’s the one who drives the extraordinarily loud motorcycle was arrested (though we don’t know why). Not for the first time. I just wish he’d stay in there longer than a few days or weeks.
Once again, I loved last night’s The Middleman. and the swimming. We’ve got some really hot swimmers. *swoon* The only thing on tonight is more swimming Olympics trials, so I’ll watch that and either The Cat’s Meow or a documentary about Charlie Chaplin.
I forgot to read my research book last night.
So I’ll just count that as a day off. *g*
Reading: I’ve moved on to Die Laughing by Carola Dunn in which Daisy investigates the murder of her dentist. Which in some cases would surely qualify as justifiable homicide, don’t you think?
Present company’s spouses excepted, of course.

Living in the middle of nowhere is good.
Living in the middle of nowhere is bad.
We have a neighbor who has a garage band and only practices AFTER TEN pm each evening.
grrrrrrrrrrrrr
If I hear “Purple Haze” one more freaking time, I will NOT be responsible for my actions.
Who to call? Um…no one. Not really.
Plus, who needs to piss off a neighbor when I could just as easily disappear???
Skeery.
*GRINS*

Sounds like you should have a relaxing few days….at least they’ll be quiet.
While watching The Middleman last night, I kept wondering how many takes some of those scenes took. I bet there’s a lot of laughter on that set.

Darn! I forgot about The Middleman last night. Glad to hear it’s been quiet while the Son is in jail. Here’s to hoping he stays in a while!
I hope you have a good evening!

You make me sad I didn’t start watching “The Middleman”… will have to catch it when they start it over in reruns. I hate starting in the middle of something.
