Is it just me or is it really weird to have a member of the Mafia doing a public service announcement commercial about how bad gambling is? It cracks me up every time I see it. Has anyone else seen this? I can’t imagine that it’s just local.
Odd thought that crossed my mind while watching Burn Notice last night: What if Michael & Co. runs into Horatio Caine & Co. from CSI: Miami one of these days?
Tonight I have more new shows to watch.
There’s a new episode of Speed Racer, then I have an hour with nothing to watch (recorded show!), then next up is Doctor Who and the return of Stargate: Atlantis. And there was much rejoicing! Also, we have the series premiere of a new show on CBS called Flashpoint which I plan to give a whirl.
In other Hollywood news, Robert Downey Jr. is slated to play Sherlock Holmes. He doesn’t quite strike me as right for the role, but he could surprise me.
At long last I finally figured out how to get my wireless thingy to work with my laptop. I just hope and pray I don’t need to repeat the feat because I’m not entirely sure how I got it to work this time. LOL!
Tweaked a few things on the murder mystery last night. Minor things across 18 pages, but every little bit helps.
Reading: Now I’m reading The Well-Wishers by Edward Eager. I’ll finish it up tonight then move on to the last book of his.

Yay on getting your wireless working! When I heard the news about Robert Downey Jr. I thought he’d make a great Sherlock Holmes!

I haven’t seen it, but I don’t watch a lot of commercials. It’s like Pete Rose schilling for anti-gambling causes.
On Burn Notice and CSI: Only if CSI were on NBC.
18 pages of minor tweaks is 18 pages that don’t need work.
RD, Jr. is INCREDIBLY talented. He can slide into almost any role. I think he’ll be fantastic as Holmes.
Yay for getting the wireless to work. I always try to write down what I do as I’m doing it (especially when computer related), but then I start doing things in a white heat and forget to write it down and eventually something works and I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. So I have to reinvent the wheel the next time it breaks (just went through this with the airport hooked up to the printer–it ever stops working again and I’m toast, this round took three days to fix).

I can’t wait for the new season of “Stargate: Atlantis” to begin. :jumpnana: But I’m sure pissed off to find out the finally canceled “Moonlight” and “Blood Ties.”
There goes my vampy Friday nights.

Don’t look at me for help with the Wireless! *G* As for Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes? I can actually see it.
And I haven’t seen the anti-gambling commercial. Hmmm. Sounds curious. *G*
I hope you’re having a great day!

ooh, I like that notion of Michael & Co running into Horatio and Co. Too bad neither stations are run by the same parent company.
That’s great that you got the wireless thingy to work. When I’m doing computer stuff for the first time, I write it down and then later when I refer to it, I have no idea what I wrote, but somehow I do recall what I did.
I hope your Friday was a good one.
What did you think of last night’s Burn Notice?
