In archaeological news, the boyhood home of the Father of Our Country has been discovered. Read about it here.
And one of our local news anchors had me giggling last night. They’re creating a lake in a nearby town that they’ve been planning for quite some time. The anchor said last night, “You can almost see the lake now!” 
Exaggerate much? They only started clearing the land this week! 
Ordered two DVDs yesterday for my birthday. I got Enchanted (love, love, loved that movie!) and season one, volume three of Disney’s Zorro 
(because, as you know, I love all things Zorro).
There’s nothing on tonight. So it’s movie night! 
Maybe I’ll finally watch The Cat’s Meow just to keep in the 1920s murder mystery mood.
Did more tweaking last night. Using my computer somewhere besides my desk is nice!
Reading: Last night I read Seven Day Magic by Edward Eager. Then, in honor of her birthday today, I started re-reading Night Calls by Katharine Eliska Kimbriel. Kathi is a good friend and was a life saver for me when I lived in Austin, Texas.

Cool about George Washington’s home. I’ll have to show that to the kids. We just watched National Treasure 2 so they learned about Mount Vernon!

Okay… so I watched “Enchanted” last weekend. I wouldn’t call it a complete waste of time, but I wasn’t, um, Enchanted. I realize that many, many people were and I want to know WHY.

I want to see Enchanted. Heck I want to be able to rent videos again now that they closed our Hollywood video right by our house. I should check out Netflix, shouldn’t I?

We love ENCHANTED at our house. Forgot to watch Flashpoint last night. Totally wipes from the whole pool saga. More sand. More leveling. Will it never end?
