So, last night I watched Monday’s The Closer I had recorded. Needless to say I loved it. Why haven’t I been watching this show from the beginning??? And why was I under the impression it was set in Atlanta?

Not a lot on tonight except Ghost Hunters International. So I’ll clear off some more recorded shows, too.

We’ve got another round of deaths started. Estelle Getty who played Sophia on The Golden Girls died early yesterday. She was 84.

In the department of TV commercials most likely to make me NOT buy a product is the new (and incredibly stupid) commercial for Secret deoderant. The one with the chick walking around town with her arms raised over her head. The only urge I have is to shoot her :hunter: and put myself out of my misery.

I worked through about 20 pages last night. I’d be more excited but I’m near the point where it all seems to fall apart. :cursin: Ten years ago, I might have been able to more easily figure out the problem and fix it. Ten years ago, I wasn’t spending 80% of my time in a fibro fog. *sigh*

Reading: Still reading Plague Ship. It’s long. :)

  1. Going through 20 pp sounds pretty damn great, Tori - I managed 1 paragraph this week! One! My poor detective is stuck in her boarding house at the moment and she needs to get out and busy (me too).

  2. Brenda Leigh is from Atlanta. Now you have to get the DVDs for the past three seasons and catch up.

Good for you on the 20 pages. I hope the story works out for you.

    Have a good Thursday.

oh, btw, how do you get your blog on the facebook thing?

  4. Glad you found a new show you liked! Good luck with the book. I know things are harder now than they were, but you’ll figure it out. If you have to, go line by line looking at motivation and reaction. I still do that when things aren’t working.

  6. HA! You’re a Brenda convert! I adore that show, and like Dru explained Brenda is from Atlanta. I know for a fact that Target has the first season for $20 in the stores. (At least it does here.)
I think you’ve done wonderfully to have tackled that many pages. And look at it this way, 10 years ago you weren’t as knowlegable about writing as you are now. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
As for the Secret commercial, THANK YOU! I can NOT stand that commercial. What about when she stops in front of the Police car and holds her arms up? GAH! I think they should lock her up for acting like a loon.

I hope you’re having a pleasant day! (And that your Doc appointment went well.)

  7. Oh. My. Gosh. That Secret commercial. I will NEVER buy that product. How annoying! Even SuperGuy knows to switch the station when it comes on so he doesn’t have to listen to me rant… :chainsaw:
