Jeff Abbott (one of my favorite mystery writers—love his Jordy Poteet series) had a cool post yesterday about his recent trip to the United Kingdom.

So, yesterday, I was watching the coverage of Comic Con on G4 and I wanted to scream at one point. They were interviewing some of the people involved in the Sookie Stackhouse HBO series True Blood. Granted, they did mention the books. But not once did they mention who wrote them!!!!! Cretins.

I still don’t feel 100% but I do feel a lot better than I did yesterday. Whew! But holy cow! It’s 10:30 in the morning and the heat index is already 99! :confused68: You really need scuba gear to breathe if you go outside!

Not much on tonight, so you know what that means. I just have to figure out what I’m in the mood to watch. Here are some of my choices:

    Yours, Mine and Ours
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
    Stranger Than Fiction
The Mark of Zorro (the 1920 silent version)
    Little Miss Sunshine
    Children of Men
    X-Men: The Last Stand
    The Prestige
or some Walt Disney Zorro episodes
    Phantom of the Opera

Any suggestions?

Oh! I just discovered G4 is having a Heroes marathon today of last season’s episodes. Now I can finally see the season finale which I missed because of storm warnings pre-empting the show.

I only worked through 10 pages last night.

Reading: Now I’m reading The Mysterious Shrinking House by Jane Louise Curry. This was one of my favorite books as a kid and I’m still getting a kick out of it.

  1. Our stupid cable company took G4 off the basic/short expanded channel listing. Jerkfaces. I miss it.

  2. I liked Stranger than Fiction. Wasn’t wild about the end of the trilogy of Pirates.

This head is damn near killing me. Probably would help if I had air in the van.

  4. Is that the new version of Yours, Mine and Ours? I much prefer the original one.

Pirates and Little Miss Sunshine were good.

I’m glad you’re feeling somewhat better.

  5. I love X-Men, so that gets my vote, with Phantom a close second.

  6. Children of Men was very good. I didn’t think I’d like it but it was very suspenseful and well-acted.

  7. What’s Children of Men about? Like Dru, I prefer the original Yours, Mine and Ours. Loved how he found out his wife was pregnant! *G*

Ten page is better than none, you did good!

Hope you had a good Saturday and have a peaceful Sunday!

  8. What’s G4? Not that I’d be able to watch it anyway!

That’s quite a list of different movies. I’d figure what type of mood you’re in and go with one that matches!

Hope you can stay cool today!
