I’ve got a LOT to say today, so hold on to your hats. And keep going. And be warned, there are spoilers ahead!

While watching the Olympics yesterday, I got to wondering some things. Like, how many flags from each nation do they have to have all together? I’m sure they’d need at least three per country per event in case they had more than one medal ceremony going on at the same time. They could hardly be running flags all around town “just in case”. If I calculated right, that would be over 17,000 flags!!! :confused68: Wow!

And what about all that air pollution that China claims isn’t that bad? Could someone explain, then, why it looks 10 times worse than any smog I’ve ever seen in Los Angeles??? :anyone:

So, Chicago is on the short list for the 2016 games. I’m totally rooting for them. It would so totally rock to have the games in MY. OWN. TIME. ZONE. :cheer:

Did you guys see the beach volleyball match with Misty May and Kerri Walsh? Walsh had this orthopedic tape on her shoulder (she had surgery not too long ago). The thing is, this tape was black. She looked like she had this freakin’ huge spider perched on her shoulder! Could they not make this tape in a better color???

Michael Phelps rocks! He won his first gold of the games last night and cutie pie Ryan Lochte won bronze. Then they had one of the women’s relays which was anchored by the totally rocking Dara Torres who netted the U.S. a silver medal win! At age 41!!!

In other TV news… well, okay, not news so much as a viewer alert. *g* Primeval has an encore airing at 6:00pm Central, also tonight we have Inspector Lynley Mysteries (it’s the final season for them, too) and In Plain Sight. They’ll all have to be recorded for viewing later because I’ll be glued to the Olympics. :)

Reading: Now I’m reading the third book in the magical Regency series. This one is called The Mislaid Magician. I’m hoping my new book will arrive tomorrow. It shipped from Memphis, so in theory it shouldn’t take it long to get here.
